Got some questions i just didnt find an answer to, or perhaps they are suggestions for improvment?

When designing a island scenario, is there a simple deployment option for paratroopers? I dont want them loaded in boats, and if i do get them loaded on aircrafts, how do i erase those old boats?

Bridges how come there are not engineer tropps that can set up a 1hex bridge, so that you may use some engineer tanks and a bunch of engineer squads to cross those fscking rivers if you do a random battle... Or how do you solve getting vehicles over water?

And final semi-newbee question: What units other then various types of infantry can be placed in airunits such as gliders for deployment behind enemy lines. Im thinking of some form of jeep i think i saw one day for the russians but mostly i want to deploy the "FJ Mech Co" from the German side on English turf in a scenario im trying to build.

I'll pass on q1 and takes a shot on #2 and 3:

Bridges: We had a thread about this a few months back. The conclusion was somewhat like; The time scope of a SP:WAW battle does not allow for engineers to lay bridges. There were some faster bridge-laying units, but it still took well over an hour to put one in place. In a random battle, rivers and such will always include bridges over it. It's also a good idea to bring amphibious tanks and such if you need to get them over deep water. Otherwise you have to rely on your gallant infantry and indirect fire :D

Air units: Check the size of the unit you want to load. Generally gliders and transports couldn't carry much, except vehicles and guns designed for that purpose. Without looking closer, I suppose you could carry jeeps, pack howitzers and such in a glider. Very few tanks will fit, and those that do are VERY small.

Thanks for your answer of parts of the questions.

The battles i have played with random (even started a new to verify) has always been lacking the complete bridge, its just the beginning and the end of it that shows.

Another thing comes to mind, i just cant find any form of carrier (except Barge) that will fit any of the SdKfz's how can they be part of a FJ Company? I tried looking for other vehicles that are small but i only found AA-guns and mortars that could fit around 100 in Weight (its the Wgt compared to Carry isnt it, not size?)

Size doesnt matter? ;-)

Go to the unit roster...find the boats that belong to the units that you no longer need them for and you can do what I did for the Tarawa scenarios and just change them to other units that you may want in the battle...then change the HQ they report to so you don't run into any other issues as far as getting them to perform duties.
Hope that helps with that part of the question.

Firstly, the FJ basically ceased to be an airmobile formation after Crete. They became an Elite ground fighting formation and would have been equiped with various AFV's.

The carry is give as xyz the x relates to tow capacity (under weight teh x is teh size tow needed). the yz relate to teh number of men.

e.g., a jeep has a carry of 104 (say), a 6lbr ATG has a weight of 104 (so the jeep can carry the 6lbr and crew.

A truck of 218 can carry a large gun (say a 17pdr or flak 18) and can also carry upto 18 men (crew or soldiers.

So a glider with say 110 carry can carry a 6lbr and crew (if weight=104) plus 6 extra men. But it can't carry a jeep and 6lbr (104 + 104)

As to Q#1, Instant Bridge Building is a relatively new concept, and only special Bridge Tanks can do it too.

Barge's on Barge Carriers.

That's the only way to do a water crossing to my knowledge, if you have a River Crossing Assault that you have to do, start the barges in the Barge Carriers and then when the game starts roll the Barge Carriers down to the river and dump the Barges out, procede to use the Barges to ferry troops across.

You can use the reinforcement option for units that you wish to insert behind enemy lines in a scenario.
