Hi out there,

generally, can US carriers fill up their squadrons at Australian bases or not? Tried it, but only in one case (CV disbanded at Cairns port) the airgroups got back to full strength. Otherwise it seems impossible, they just stay cut down whatever I do... Very frustrating idea to get to sail all the way back to Noumea just to receive some planes!?!

TIA,
Ralf

I had thought US carrier air groups would not replace planes in an Aus port. then in an AI game I am playing Wasp took on replacements once the TF disbanded in Townsville. However, Yourtown did not, although she was far worse off. Anyone know what the rule on this is?

Generally yes they can. In my experience location is not a factor. I've had damaged carriers replenished at Buna - on the turn after it was recaptured - and Luganville.
