I just ran into a nasty set of bugs in a somewhat unusual situation. Unfortunately, I didn't even know it had happened until months afterwards, so I have no savefile, but I will describe as much as I know: France (human) at war with GB (AI). France controls Denmark. At some point, I went to check the status of that fleet, which had been blockaded at Copenhagen, and found there only a GB blockading fleet (blockading an empty port). Looking around, I found the Danish fleet (somewhat reduced) in another port. Reviewing the log, this seems to be what happened: Some months previously, Russia (AI) had been at war with France, and it was the Russian fleet blockading Copenhagen. Russia surrenders to France, and so the blockading fleet became a "friendly" fleet inside the port, stacked together with the French. GB, seeing the fleet now unblockaded, moved in its own blockading fleet (good AI move there, at least). Three months later, Russian temp access to France ends. This is when the chaos ensues. What should happen: Russian fleet leaves Copenhagen, sails past friendly GB fleet (Russia and GB are allies). What did happen, per log: First, Russian fleet fought a battle with the blockading GB fleet (BUG 1). Russians lose, retire into port. Then, French-controlled Danish fleet tries to evacuate (BUG 2), fights GB fleet. Danes lose, but nevertheless are allowed to pass the blockade and escape to another port (BUG 3). Then, Russian fleet (same month) tries to evacuate repeatedly, fighting the GB fleet each time, until there are no Russian ships left (BUG 1 BUG 1 BUG 1 BUG 1....) The result was the picture as it looked when I came along to inspect Copenhagen a while later.
