I understand that two large armies could conceivably be in the same province; one avoiding battle and the other seeking battle, and not engage. The army avoiding battle could be hiding in a forested area or behind a mountain or simply outmaneuvering the army seeking battle. However, how could a large army be laying siege to a fort/city (avoiding battle) and an opposing army (seeking battle) cannot find them and engage them? I mean, the army seeking battle knows where the army is who is avoiding battle. How can one avoid battle when the enemy knows where you are and wants to attack you? This has been a consistant irritant for me over the last two years. It is completely unrealistic and without historical parallel.

If agree. If nothing else, the besieging units should not be able to "avoid battle" like any other container can.
