I'm playing v1.11, and have noticed that submarines will get both fuel AND torpedoes from any ship with sufficient fuel to share. I've also seen warships totally replenish their ammo levels from the most odd sources, such as BB's getting 16" shells from a cruiser/destroyer task force.

On the other hand, submarines out of torpedoes but having plenty of fuel cannot rearm at bases with lots of supplies but no fuel depot.

These two situations are resulting in some very odd tactics in my current game. An supply task force bringing food and bullets for the Americal Division on Russell Island has also apparently brought torpedoes for both subs and DD's as well as 8" and 5" shells for the DD/CA task forces, plus fuel for all of them! Even when the cargo ships are empty I can still rearm the warships by taking fuel from the transports!

I have noticed this too.

Also, does it not seem odd that when you re-ammo your warships, they expend no supplies?

For such a detalied supply system, these are some strange abstractions to have.

Why not add a third supply type, Naval Stores?

....and while I am at it, 12 hours seems to be an awful short time to do a complete reload and refuel on a Battleship, even if it was at Truk, Brisbane or Noumea.
