Sorong, Sorong: Rooks rike we should have attacked earlier. Probabry a week and a half of air strikes took the starch out of 'em. We brought the equivalent of a USMC division (even if I mixed "Hollywoood Marines" with 2nd Div Marines ) plus 2 combat engineer units and a Bn of Stuarts. Curiously the attack strength was 2x the nominal value. I didn't know that could happen. Pretend I didnt read the manual. Also not quite sure how the defenders were less prepared. they must have been there 6 months at least. This powerfully secures the right flank of the salient and threatens the North coast of New Guinea.
