Well, it is a RN ship. ALSP might want to keep her with a penalty for some crucial task. Plus, I think I broke her somehow. Can't remember exactly.

I'll give you the terrain bonus, but there's no fort, experience or (curiously) Japanese preparation bonus. Yet they've been there getting bashed on for what-two months now? You'd think they'd prep for Davao and make it 'fully prepped', much as-I'm sure-the Allies are now.

If your guys have been on Davao for a couple months now, are they still 50-60% disabled? Thoughts as to why? What's your HQ support looking like there?

They have no HQ support on Mindanao, save for a few Air HQ at Cagayan. I dont think it's been "a couple of months" but they have been resting for a week or so.

MacArthur (SWPAC) is in a luxury suite aboard an APA which just passed Horn Is. 6th Army HQ just debarked at Manado. SOUPAC is in Darwin.

I Amphib HQ is prepping for Northern Luzon.

The pace of operations has required that we push stuff forward quickly. In some place the logistical tail is still wagging behind. If we are going to take a base in Northern Luzon and Batan Is. by the end of April we need to keep going. No time for R&R.

Status: offline 		I looked back. The sinking on the AK Malancha last night took out 31 M4 Shermans and some trucks. Bummer about the Shermans. They were the first ones in theater. The Men From Malancha were apparently OK.

This business of trying to unload tanks from regular AK's across the beach is just painful. We need more LST's. The AKA's in June will help too.

Status: offline 		Oddly, there does not seem to be any movement of the substantial LYB forces at Shwebo or Myitkynia. If the large Indian force moving SW from Kalmeyo crosses the Irrawaddy and finds an empty hex in about 10 d or so, then Myitkynia will quickly become untenable. By then, the Chindits should cut the rail line as well.

I do think they mean to form a line along the Irrawaddy near Prome, to include the hex SW of Prome where the rail lien crosses.

Cape Town (80K tons): Ramilles (2-3 months) Can't accomodate any more large ships after Revenge arrives in a week or so. Revenge also needs about 3 mos.

Colombo (40K tons): Pennsylvania (5+ mos) You could take Pennsylvania out of drydock, leave her at pierside to repair system damage and put either PoW or Victorious in dry dock. Victorious could go to Sydney but that seems very dangerous. As PoW can make 25 kts, probably best to send her to Eastern US and let Victorious repair at Colombo. Alternatively, you could send PoW to Cape Town and bump one of the other BB's out of line.

Sydney (30K tons): Can be used for the USN CA's and CL's and DD's and subs and for CVE upgrades.

Bombay (20K tons): Hermes can fit.

Aden (20K tons): Cornwall maybe.

Pearl (100K tons): 3 US BB's (6-10 mos) Fagettaboutit

Western US: US BB's

Auckland: US Crusiers and DD's

Yes, but first Pennsylvania has to repair her 44% system damage because some, idiot staff flunkie let her run out of gas on the way to Cape Town. She detoured North, hit 3 icebergs due to Global Cooling and was attacked by a 100 foot long squid.

I don't mind the Roma influence with the castanettes, it's just that I couldn't wrap my mind around the idea of MEN playing the castanette.

Also, casting Javier Bardem as Don Quixote was a BIG mistake.

Cpt. Vaughn stands topside with a megaphone. The boat has been out of fuel since she ran short in the Gulf of Alaska nearly 1 month ago. The crew have been towing her with oar power from rubber rafts since then. A kindly Humpback named &@*#(#@ had helped them for nearly a day, the tow rope held in her mouth, but she was with calf and had to swim on. The entire battery compartment is awash in seawater and, of course, all the pumps are shot so the captain has taken to ordering the crew about the boat to maintain trim.

Captain Vaughn: STROKE! STROKE! STROKE! <15 strokes a minute in grueling four hour ****s. A wave approaches the boat from astern. The captain yells down from the sail> OK BOYS! HERE COMES ONE. EVERYONE RUN AFT............NOW! <The crest reaches the boat> OK, EVERYONE FORWARD..........NOW!

XO: Have you thought about scuttling her sir? I think we could get enough provisions aboard the boats to make Eurkea.

Captain Vaughn: Unthinkable. She is a grand old boat and she will have a long and dignified service after this.

XO: What do they plan to do with her, sir?

Captain Vaughn: Fish and chips restaurant, I think. STROKE! STROKE!.............
