The recycle collection guy for the Mandrake estate left a note on my recycle can saying I had too much "trash" in my recycle can.

This hurt my feelings really badly. I was trying to be a good citizen....plus my trash can was full.

Should I write an apology letter? Greet him in person? Wash and bleach the recycle can?

Just use the HOA Nazi's recycle bin for your trash next time. Nothing worse for a rule Nazi than to be accused of breaking rules!

You do realize this makes you a co-conspirator.

My last email to the "Architectual Committee Compliance Liason" I signed it "With the warmest of heartfelt warmth" or something like that. It was meant to be a jab mocking her feigned empathy but I don't think she saw through it.

She wrote back extending the deadline on painting the house in sympathetic tones and opened the email "Hi Mr. Mandrake".

Maybe she is flirting?

Dude-after the fracas that the 'spiking the ball' discussion wrought, I wouldn't even joke about flirtatious HOA Frau. That's like asking for an outdoor grill's worth of trouble.

21st Marine amphibious convoy stopped to refuel the SC's and made very little forward progress. They seem not to understand the risk of the Kirishima coming back for a visit.

Manira now has nearly 54K LYB's. Every 2 story building will have a machine gun. It's a nightmare. Gonna take a whole lotta bombin'. We will be ashore on Kyushu befor ewe take Manira.

Good point. I had assumed the locals would not be very cooperative but......anyone know?

Here is what you see when you select city attack for Manira

Yorktown was supposed to have been ready at Sydney for 4 days now...and then something always comes up at the last minute. I am very suspicious.......

USS Washington allegedly will be ready at Darwin in a week. Having 3 fast BB's will be nice. Of course, I probably shouldn't say that.

Interesting finding. VMF squadrons will accept Navy F6F's.

British 2nd Div embarking at Port Hedrand. They wont be needed at Laoag or Loago or Laaog or whatever it's called. Have to find somethign else for them to do.

Interesting, 15.6 states if the base is captured it will not produce supplies, only if recaptured by the original owner. It hints that if a base has resources etc. it normally will produce some supplies. ALFRED!!!

It's Memorial Day. I don't have to work after 7 days straight, so I can make unrealistic plans if I want to.

Admirar Rod Fabertong is already starting a new game. I think they see the writing on the paper walls. Best to give them a crack to break something instead of an attrition battle.

Yes. Excerrent pranning! Hai! Feed small amphibious forces into Kyushu maw! You no need 3 mirrion troops in 1945. You attack Kyushu 1943 with battalion and brigade-sized groups. Good idea! You make-a me raff!

That is a cool idea. 2 questions:

1) Do you think it might be misperceived as a slight? He described it as fighting a "lost cause" but it might be premature?

2) Do you know ANYTHING about the Japanese economy...because I sure don't

1. I don't mean right now but when they're ready to throw in the towel

2. Not much, but the cheap seats are full of people ready to share how we should be doing it.

Manila, Clark & Bataan will be brutal. In a PBEM game i'm playing as the Japanese in fall 1942 I've got Manila & Clark airfield to Fort 8 with mountains of supply.

Anyway, is this map of Korean invasion plans a serious consideration over Kyushu?

The problem with Kyushu is the LYB's can walk over from Honshu and every geisha is likely to have an exploding bustier or something. I'm sure it's like stepping on a fire ant colony.

It's still April 43 and we have only two CV's. I will have to look up what happens when you land on Kyushu. Probably reserves pop up everywhere. Don't think we have enough infantry divisions yet..or fighters.

Of course, division after division being of the LYB's shipped down from Manchuria to attack a Korean lodgement is not that appetizing either.
