No turn yet...guess I'll got to Oktoberfest. I predict this will be $6-7 beers which you have to drink inside of small quadrangle roped off by crime scene tape. I predict no waitresses with big breastesses either. No place to sit down either. You just pathetically stand in line and buy a beer from a fat guy in a T-shirt. They do have a live band and the beers and food will be good. Weather is nice too.

Here in San Antonio we have multiple festivals that are basically excuses to drink and eat. And for the cops to set up the checkpoints right out side the festival. They even watch you leave the festival and radio ahead who to look for. And it is non refusal here. If you refuse a sobriety test they call up a judge who rubber stamps a warrant and they pull blood by the side of the road.

We can at least walk around the festivals with the beer. Your beer prices sound a little cheap though.

You called it on the motorcycle cop being at the first intersection with spotters in the event. Well organized. You could walk around with the brew and the bands were very good..well 3 of 4. A bit of overkill on law enforcement...mounted patrol...deputies all over the place. Good selection of high quality domestic specialty brews.

Her Majesty, Queen Wilhelmina AND her chins are very angry.

Both RNN DD's sunk last turn...and Thracian is a bit soggy as well. Antiques too! JJ are savages. It's as simple as that.

They will pay. Oh, they will pay. We are looking into risk minimization strategies.

Speaking of I-phones. I finally broke down and got one too. Now I can check to see if the AE turn is in 42 tims per day.

I'm not really sure it was a good idea.

Why do old celebrities get to the top of the list for liver transplants after they wrecked the livers they were born with due to their excesses? Mickey Mantle, Lou Reed and David Crosby immediately come to mind as celebrities who received liver transplants. Do you think one of them might have gotten a transplanted liver from a non-adult Baptist who never touched a drop of alcohol such that the liver was in near perfect condition? That is the type of liver I would like to get when I need a new one.

Well hopefully genetic and immunological match are on the tops of your list ... BTW) Just because one has not touched ETOH does not mean that they do not have major CYP450 genetic dysfunctionality

Of all of those you mention above only Mickey Mantle caused much consternation from a ethics standpoint ..http://jnci.oxfordjournals.org/content/88/8/484.full.pdf That is because he was Dx with Primary Liver Cancer, a contraindication for a liver transplant. David Crosby I understand was Dx with Liver Failure secondary to Hepatitis C, which is not a contraindication despite ETOH and drug abuse Hx.

Thanks for ruining my fantasy. How can I expect to fulfill my dream of dying in bed with an 18 year-old girl on my 100th birthday from being shot by her jealous twin sister if I can't get high quality replacement parts? You wouldn't per chance know where I could get a good deal on some functioning, low mileage, human kidneys? Other than from M&M Enterprises of course.

I was at my bank today; there was a short line. There was just one lady in front of me, an Asian lady who was trying to exchange yen for dollars. It was obvious she was a little irritated . . .

She asked the teller, "Why it change? Yesterday, I get two hunat dolla for yen. Today I only get hunat eighty? Why it change?"

The teller shrugged his shoulders and said, "Fluctuations."

The Asian lady says, "Fluc you white people too"

I figure this is a good group to ask. It's a home decorating question.

When is the best time to take down the Christmas candles in the bathroom? Suppose a family I know hasn't taken them down yet and it's almost Halloween. Is it really mandatory or could they just stay up and save the extra time and labor?

I'm a bit of a maverick, but I say "why take them down?" Spray paint them orange and use them for Halloween.

Japanese nez Portuguese nez Timorese Timor: Recon showed no fighters at Koepang. Jap fighters fool us, they show up. We lose a couple of planes without destorying anything on the ground. Nice "surprise" attack, guys.

I blame the staff, of course.

China: This is odd. I'm guessing that only a small portion of the IJA forces attacked. Whichever unit that was is in a baaaaad way. We get a huge adjustment for the defense.

Ground combat at Chungking (76,45)

Japanese Shock attack

Attacking force 4034 troops, 92 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 3405

Defending force 105471 troops, 646 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 3655

Japanese adjusted assault: 0

Allied adjusted defense: 13889

Japanese assault odds: 1 to 99 (fort level 6)

Combat modifiers
Defender: terrain(+), forts(+), leaders(+), experience(-)
Attacker: shock(+)

Japanese ground losses:
5038 casualties reported
Squads: 164 destroyed, 0 disabled
Non Combat: 135 destroyed, 11 disabled
Engineers: 17 destroyed, 0 disabled
Guns lost 54 (45 destroyed, 9 disabled)

Allied ground losses:
5 casualties reported
Squads: 0 destroyed, 0 disabled
Non Combat: 0 destroyed, 1 disabled
Engineers: 0 destroyed, 0 disabled

Assaulting units:
36th Division
13th Division
59th Infantry Brigade
9th Ind.Mixed Brigade
3rd Tank Division
71st Infantry Brigade
110th Division
66th Infantry Brigade
35th Division
19th Ind.Mixed Brigade
32nd Division
4th Ind.Mixed Regiment
14th Medium Field Artillery Regiment
12th Army
15th Ind.Medium Field Artillery Regiment

43rd Chinese Corps
9th Separate Brigade
46th Chinese Corps
15th Chinese Corps
13th Construction Regiment

..this goes on for about 2 pages. A truly shocking collection of LYB's..but we also have many, many LYB's.

I figure this is a good group to ask. It's a home decorating question.

When is the best time to take down the Christmas candles in the bathroom? Suppose a family I know hasn't taken them down yet and it's almost Halloween. Is it really mandatory or could they just stay up and save the extra time and labor?

Oh, hell yeah. You're in that window of opportunity for being prescient / proactive by decorating for Christmas after Halloween. Don't blow it by actually moving them now, dude.
