Hallo
I am playing AE (and I played WITP) from the very beginning against AI. With the upgraded AI I now need features the old WITP AI was never challenging so I never really paid attention to them.
In short:
I have a Transport R3D2 unit in scenario 9 in PH. I set orders to transport supply to Hilo, well within the normal range at 9000 ft. I get a message in the Ops Reports that all aircraft transporting supply (I only gave orders for 50% and 50% Rest). But no supplies arrive at Hilo. What is the key for airlifting supplies besides range, airfield at destination and supply reserve in the home base ? Perhaps somebody can give me a hint.
The other thing I was never quite sure about : e.g. R3D2 has a load of 2000. Should it add 2 supply points to the destination per flight ?

If you are getting messages that supply is being moved then most likely it is. What I suspect is happening is that few supplies are being moved because you as yet have few transport aircraft. So, the daily usage is equal to or exceeding the amount being flown in each day.

That's my best guess.

Thanks a lot for your reply . That´s exactly what I also thought of. But consumption at the destination is static at approximately 7 per day and I have 10 aircraft with the load of 2000. So I thought it should add 10 x 2 = 20 supply points (tons)per day and leave in excess some 13 supplies. Problem I have is that each day more supply is consumed than flown in and the other base on the island has 0 supplies with my units all at full strength (no repairs) and no buildings.
I will check again the next turns whether somethings is consuming supply I had not yet identified
Bye

First off, send a ship to boost supply stock. Second, if you have units at the other base on the same island, supply could be flowing there. You said no units at 100% and no building going on, so I'm not sure what else to look at.

Remember the 'supplies required' on the base screen is an estimate. Do you have ships repairing, or aircraft flying missions (they definitely use supply)?

O.K. I saw supply slightly rising now and 2 Ops losses and slight variation downwards in the consumption. I think I was just too narrow to real consumption with my airlift and perhaps Ops losses before unloading. I forgot that the consumption number is an estimate (one should better clearly overshoot). I already saw myself using specialized bomber units and their trained pilots in supply runs... Something I want to avoid in AE but was never an issue in WITP (even a training method). Thanks a lot for your help.
