It's most likely a PDF manual.

Surely there is no harm in releasing the manual. It may even cement a few extra sales

I guess I wasn"t clear enough. I just wanted an idea of how many pages were in the manual. Seeing as I usually print it out or get it printed. Armada 2526 has 48 half pages. I appreciate large detailed manuals.
Thanks in advance,
Bob Viener

I firmly believe that real men never read manuals.

Only 72 pages. Cool, I was expecting at least 1500. Hmm or is that 72 pages with font size set to 4?

So there is no hard copy manual. I always prefer the hard copy.

We need to save the digital cybernetic trees.  Back in the days,  the games that brought 200+ pages manuals.

Manuals in the good old days were amazing, games that come to mind include Ultima 7 from Origin, I mean RPGs would come with a manual, a hintbook, a logbook etc, all sorts of awesomely detailed stuff.

I know some that even came with their own 'novels' etc set in the game universe.

Ah, shame those days are gone.

Out, out damned manuals!

What with games being heavily tutorialized or 'tip'ed or 'hint'ed out the wazzo, I think we are well past manuals (in an offline, paper version at least).

Many old time games were vey complex using many keyboard commands. Some were of a time when tutorials were not refined or common. Some were in a time when the internet was not widely popular/available to provide information via forums and other information sites. Some were of a time when CD's were not available to fit digital manuals onto.

Yeah, I enjoyed laying back and looking through some of those manuals. I suppose we could still enjoy using our fancy color printers to make the manuals ourselves now.

"Screw the trees"? Tut tut. The trees are already screwed thanks to unnecessary paper usage like manuals for games!! I'd rather learn about the game IN-game...the galactopedia looks concise and thorough.

....although I did used to like flicking through the chunky manuals of old, especially when there are those immersive little stories...

Personally I these days far prefer digital manuals over 'physical' ones, my living space is cramped up enough with my console games and DVDs, I don't need even more physical stuff to add to that.

Thank God that pretty much all PC games these days are released via digital delivery systems as well, otherwise I would have to move to a bigger apartment.

I just hope the game is fully explained in the manual. It seems even some beta testers are not fully aware of the game features.

Better is expect too little than too more.
If your expectation is too high then even good game can make you feel disapointment.
If your expactaqtion is low even medicore game can make you feel like you find a diamond in mud.

Unfortunatley for me my hopes is still high.
Lucky for me my hype died yesterday.

I can see some bad signs but still I hope that this game is good.
This isnt about be optimistic or pessimistic. This is about to be realistic.

I said before: my hype died. Now I am somewhat pessimistic.

Also I think that most of(what we can see) betatesters arent very experienced or old school players. I would like see someone who can say something like that:"I hate this <XXX> freature." If I see here only yes, good, wonderfull that my awarness is making noise.

But that is me.

Also copy paste man is killing my mood here. Minor inconvince but still.

A very bad sign indeed. Let me fix that. Seriously, I've seen this before and I think you all need to relax a bit. We are all very excited about DW and I think you will enjoy it too.

Maybe it's a code from Erik...

Image of a rainbow... what's at the end of the rainbow? GOLD! Maybe he's trying to tell us the gold version of DW is ready?

NOTE: The above is a joke!
