I'm glad everyone is enjoying them.

Final Japanese package is now on the bitmap art site.
Japanese AGPs are now cleaned up.

Players should occasionally check the sites for updates, as I won't be posting them here anymore.
Check the download dates for new additions or fixes.
These are being added to the total packages, so as to avoid too many downloads on the site.

The new art is great - have got everything up and running except for the rotating aircraft. Extracted the download into the AE main ART folder. Within that folder I now have:
AlliedPlanes 42
03
06
11
AlliedPlanes 43
07
08
10
11
AlliedPlanes 44
05
06
AlliedPlanes 45
(no sub folders)

When should I see the rotating aircraft? Do I need to hit a switch somewhere?

Thanks

I hope you don't really expect to see a "rotating" aircraft, that's not what the rotating is about.

The folders represent dates.
When those dates arrive the artwork for that aircraft is replaced by the one in the folder.

OK - got it. Had that much figured out but was assuming that 'rotating' meant something like - well rotating . With everything you guys have done to this game to make it sing nothing would surprise me. I'll get back in my box and enjoy the new art - thanks a bunch.

Another dumb question from an Art numpty.

Since loading up the 'Alternate Matrix games LCU icons' and starting to get used to the new colours, I noticed that the ! and ! no longer show up over bases where supply is running low. Would the LCU icons cause this? Perhaps something else? I am so disorganized I rely on those symbols now to make sure folks in the backwater areas get fed.

Thanks

Yes can be, check the Art folder and look at the files that names start with mapicons, the base symbols at the bottom should have those !.

My bad, I haven't updated these art files with the new public beta.
I'll work on it.

Personally I find the exclamation marks annoying.

OK that's the issue.

I guess I could copy the old files back into the Art folder - but then I would lose all the colour changes you have made. Or I can live with it until Halsey re-issues the update and pay more attention to what I should be doing. I think Tracker has a page where I can check supply so I'll live with it - the new colour scheem is great.

Thanks guys

My problem with the new icons is that when they display, they cover up the hex.
I was having an issue seeing what was there.

I'll make another set with the extra icons and post it with the other, so players will have an option.

Thanks - having them back will make sure the Free French and New Zealanders out in the 'way-back' get some groceries once in a while. Would be super if you could toggle them 'ON' or 'OFF' but that is a code issue and am not sure if its do-able.

Must say that you guys are doing a great job with the flavour of this game.

Two updated versions of the ingame LCU map icons are now posted at the AE land/air art site.
One with the new supply/combat markers, and one without.

These were added to take advantage of the new public beta update.

Thanks to all the guys who have contributed so much to the Art Mods

..... they are really great, and add more immersion into the game.

The level of dedication is ASTOUNDING!!

Added some other other things to Regs outstanding work, so you should get all the packages again.

Also updated around 50 of the USAAF AGP bitmaps.

BTW, thanks for the compliments.
Everyone who has been a contributor should be proud of their effort.

Got some more added to the new ship update.
Check the art link.

Dutch subs, PTs, MTBs, some aux misc stuff.
Around 1500 total additions in the last week, including the non-US merchants.

I couldn't use PT squadron insignia because of the way they are put into the game, so I opted to use a different patch for each different class.

Please check Regs pack again, for now I see that some of the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm is missing, in AlliedPlanes for example I miss 29, 37 & 41.
I got my pack of Regs files here:

Thanks.
Some recommendations:
1. Put the version number into the file names so the user can be sure what this pack is and doesn't mix it up with his old files.
2. Remove thumbs.db as they aren't needed for the game.
3. Maybe a small text to each file so new users know what this great stuff is(a while back we already had one that understood something different under rotating art).

A question to the "LCU with supply_combat markers", what does it do? I compared some and except for color here and there I don't see any changes.

Here is some of my minor stuff:
Combat screen mod:
These are the different combat screens with a broader text bar so that if using the alternative fond the text fits into the box and is better readable.
http://www.mediafire.com/?7624wjliewp9mxt

Button box mod:
These are the two red and yellow boxes around the unit icons resized to match the icon size so it doesn't look anymore like they are somehow of center.
http://www.mediafire.com/?5kgnprgy5y949ya

I wouldn't mind if you put it onto your google page too as I don't have any own webspace and putting this into a central art page for the game would be netter anyway as this stuff is sooner or later lost in this forum.

Masters are now downloaded.
I don't see much change from here on out for these.
Unless some gross error is recognized.

Or Reg finishes the rotating art for the Japanese.

Hi All:
First, thx to all those who are still supporting the game with patches, artwork, etc.
My question is this: what ship artwork should I be using, if any, to obtain a
"rotating" effect for ships similar to that for aircraft? I'm using Brian's Big B set right
now, but I'm not sure its working correctly.

Thx.

Big B's ship sides rotate with upgrades, instead of by dates, like the aircraft.
