I will buy on release day because I feel deeply that

The line must be drawn here. This far and no farther.

Well I *was* planning on buying the game today or, at worst, tomorrow. If it's not being released til Friday, however, then I might as well wait til next week, as I have to work all bloody weekend.

(I have tomorrow off, so of course the game probably isn't coming out tomorrow now. Typical, really....)

Martok, what kind of job do you have that you have to work all of the weekend?

I have the same problem - weekend work! But I can't see, why the game should't come out by tomorrow

Lucky me, I'm unemployed, I can play for a week straight with only pausing to sleep and eat food if I so choose..:

I am in the same boat. No work, no call backs after sending out lots of resumes. I rather be working as well. Well I do hope the game comes out today or tomorrow, if not, money will be gone for other things, and then have to wait 2 weeks when wife gets paid.

I'm getting Distant Worlds right away. I don't have a credit card, but Paypal will suffice. I have been looking for a good old extensive (some would call it 'difficult') 4X game and this game fits the bill. Just reading the shipdesign AAR made me drool.

So, hopefully, I can place my order tonight (in the wee hours of the morning) and start building an empire!

It seems that the recession is really bad in the US or are space 4x games players more prone to be unemployed (as they need the time to play games on gigantic maps?)

Yeah same here Baleur, I'd give my left kidney for a job.

Or wait.. It's kidneys that you have two of, right?

I don't remember much from Biology 101.

But then again, I also dropped out of upper secondary school(gymnasiet) over 3 times, pondering retrying after summer.

It's funny though, every job I've applied for, even simple stuff like working in a grocery shop putting stuff up in the store, you get told "It went to someone more experienced", I mean, how am I supposed to get more experienced to get jobs if even the most basic jobs already have people with experience applying for'em?

Stupid society!

By the way, Baleur, are you a Swede like me? I seem to remember that you are!
