Take what i say as someone who just started the game.
I dont see the windowed option, actually i dont see the change resolution options too O_O

As for alt-tabbing it seems to be working.

I'd like to know aswell if there is a windowed mode :D

No windowed mode - that game plays at the resolution of your Windows desktop.

As you've discovered, alt-tabbing works fine - you can switch between applications while running the game.

I've been using the Windows key for months and it works really well. The game multitasks well.

Any chance for windowed mode in the future patches?

Maybe it's just me, but I've never understood why you'd want to play in window mode, rather than taking full advantage of all your screen space. I'm sure there is a reason, I just can't think of one.

Shark7, multitaskers. They want a window with DW playing along side a couple different browser windows for reading forums, 1 for Youtube and another on foxnews.com or something.  Its just another installment of Short Attention Span Theater.

But you can do that now. I still don't get it. Unless they mean to half the size and them open up a browser so it's side by side then. Sort of deafts the purpose of playing a game. What's next? Watching TV when doing the hippity dippity whith thier partner? Or worse, playing DW at the same time?

lol Davor, people do that all the time. Exactly as you say, they will be playing a game with an open browser window or even a movie playing in another window right beside it. Not in the least uncommon nowadays.

Or one could do what real gamers do, get a second monitor. That way you can play DW in all it's widescreen glory and still do the mundane things like check email, watch you tube and other such things.

Multitasking is the main reason why I prefer to play in windowed mode. Alttabing is not the quickest way, also when playing in window, you can quickly release additional CPU/GPU/RAM by closing the application.

Wow I lernt something new today. Using 2 monitors? So that is why I have the options for monitor 1 or 2. I thought WTF? Why would I want this? Now I see why it's there. I guess I am old. One thing at a time.

I hope that the windowed mode comes along some day.
Alt Tabbing is great. But, I have a 30 inch monitor and would like to be able to multi task. Plus, some of the windows are a bit hard to read when the game is on my screen. I find myself leaning very close to the monitor to play at certain times.

I can see why some people wouldn't think it necessary but, to me, it would be great.

isn't what the game actually does is a borderless window the size of your desktop resolution?
because you can have window's windows on top of it (yes that is correct grammar)...

this means alt tabbing and the like always works perfectly in this game, there is no delay, it just keeps going as normal. I think all games should be designed this way, full screen mode is a derelict from the days where 50MB of extra ram usage were considered huge, and it has ALWAYS caused problems in games... severe problems! many games CRASH when you alt tab or hit the "windows" key on your keyboard

Yeah, I definetely like how DW seems to be in a borderless full screen window. Works almost flawlessly with 2 monitors (though I can't scroll the map by moving the cursor to the right edge since my secondary monitor is there). Alt-tabbing also works very well, with the game correctly overlaying any windows and the start menu.

One little thing I'd really like though, is the ability to quickly close the game by using Alt+F4.

Heh, I can barely manage to concentrate on 1 thing at a time...multitasking sounds like a disaster waiting to happen in my case.

short attention span? i pay great attention... to multiple things at once.

there are people with genuine attention issues, but multi tasking is the opposite of it, its super attention capability, the capability to precess and pay attention to several things at once.

Actually I don't have attention problems, in my case its the fact that I completely focus on the one task at hand...to the point that many times I skip meals or lose track of time and can play a game till 3-4 AM when I have to get up at 7 AM that day. I actually set an alarm when I get to playing a game so I know when to quit and go sleep. So its not a lack of attention in my case, its tunnel vision.
