For searching for certain star systems, novas, black holes, nebulas, planets, ships, and colonys. So you don't have to individually look at each item, or search for 20 minutes to find this one planet or one star system.

Have you used the "Galaxy Map" screen and tried the drop down filters and clicking through the different highlighted locations?

The Galaxy Map is awesome. Between that and the Expansion Planner you hardly have to scroll around the main screen.

Yes, but that takes awhile to go through every one of them to find the system your looking for. Even then, what about looking for colonies? Maybe yall could alphabetically categorize colonies?

Have you tried the colony screen and the select and go to buttons there?

You can alphabetise the Colonies (F4) screen by clicking on the Name field header. This will sort ascending or descending.

You can do this for the other fields in over screens too. :)
