How to refuel/"repower" a Star Base in Deep Space? like research facilities or long range scanners

Eventually all my starbases in Deep Space ends up without energy or fuel and the AI doesnt refuel them.

How do I manually refuel or bring energy to those StarBases?

Because the energy collectors dont work in deep space.

Hmm, just make sure they have a slightly larger fuel storage. Private freighters resupply them. Maybe having a fuel source somewhere nearby helps with that.

Hmmm... I guess nobody everthought of putting a starbase in Deep Space. Yeah Solar panels will not work without a sun, so I think the base is SOoL right right now. Sorry I can't think of anything. There is not an option to send in freighter with fuel and transfer the cargo over to the star base now is there?

For me, the game generated an abandoned Station in deep space, I've claimed it... yet no fuel left The game does know how to refuel deep space, since it does it for bases around black-holes (don't forget not a star either) In my case, it could be because this base is literary just over an entire sector away from the nearest trade lane or colony Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to build a gas mining station at the nearest gas giant yet (which is practically next to it anyway)

Edit: Just noticed, some freighters have turned up and started re-fuelling it, so it looks like a case of waiting until it's considered a high enough priority by the AI to refuel

@ BigWolf, technichally a Black Hole is a star. It's a collapsed star, but still a star. I was shocked when I lernt this. But since it's not emmiting the radiation or light needed to power the solar panels, I understand where you are coming from. I forgot about the black holes and nebulas. I have bases there as well, I guess since I just deployed them, they havn't ran out of fuel. Thanks guys, I will have to keep my eye on this.

Hang on??? Are you saying the game threats black holes like an active star when it comes to energy collection? If so, that needs fixing lol

I've always known they are "ex-stars", same with supernova Perhaps with a supernova, it "might" be understandable, but with a black-hole, it goes against everything with what they are supposed to be in real-life (remember folks, alot about black-holes is actually still "theory")

No no. I ment in real life, a Black Hole is a star. It's still circular, has mass (lots of it LMFAO). It's just that all the nucular energy is all spent and gone and collapsed apon its self.

Sorry I didnt mean it acts like a star games wise, I just ment in real life.

Ah ok, misunderstood you But back to the topic AI should refuel deep space bases, but will take time, and the base will most likely keep running out between refuels

Actually, so long as it is in the process of feeding on something (such as the gasses around it) Black holes emit a massive amount of energy. Well, actually the accretion disk surrounding an active Black hole is what is emitting energy. Anyway, the end result is that Active Black holes give off an incredible amount of energy.

LOL.

I will just make research station with Energy Collectors near the "star" BlackHole.

Black holes do, in fact, emit radiation, in the form of X-rays of stuff being crushed and sucked down into it, and in Hawking radiation as it decays. Black holes don't actually live forever. Small ones are actually quite energetic, and fall apart quite rapidly as a result.

It is also possible to steal energy from one gravitationally.
