SINCE BAY OF BENGAL RAID START POINT, OUR FORCES HAVE SUNK 1 CARRIER, 3 LIGHT CRUISERS, 3 DESTROYERS, 1 SUBMARINE, 1 PATROL GUNBOAT, 3 CARGO SHIPS AND 3 LIGHT FREIGHTERS. ENEMY HAVE LOST 14 FAIREY FULMAR, 31 ALBACORE TORPEDO BIPLANE AIRCRAFTS, 1 VILDEBEEST III, 7 HURRICANES AND 1 BLENHEIM (=54 AIRCRAFTS). A SECOND CARRIER WAS SEVERELY DAMAGED. MY OWN LOSSES : 15 A6M2, 42 D3A1 AND 14 B5N2 (= 71 AIRCRAFTS). HIJMS SORYU AIR COMPLEMENT HAVE BEEN SLAUGHTERED BY ENEMY FLAK FIRE OVER COLOMBO. ENEMY HAVE REINFORCED THEIR AIR ASSETS AT CEYLAN.
