The red line is the route my Marder Tank travelled.....the blue my other 2 tanks.
The 2 yellow marks are where i thought Dundradal would place AT...Keeping a tank close by the bridge to the south.

The blue circle is my marder tank at this point still in one piece.
Having killed of Dun's tank i felt smug..Oh that would not last.
My other 2 tanks now making there way to support my men in the buildings marked NUM 4.
The yellow circle is from where Dun's BG would Bleed me dry.
His pics show his placement around that area.
Most of my men had died trying to keep the (South Building 4.)
You can see the Marks on the roof as (Dun..Toasting) killed my men.
I was trying to take my tank down the ally..at this point i was out of smoke with 1 mortar team & team two got killed :(
My Marder 3 tank did me proud killing off Duns tank..only to bite the bullet later.
I left it in plain view..What a tit !!...I panicked led my tanks down the ally No smoke cover & (Dun...Toasting) Roasted my tank...The T34 was quickly killed after.
It did not take him much longer to finish off the rest of my BG..& after losing my Command Tank + my Gruppenfuhrer it was all over...the fat lady had sung!!

I had a squad of Marines and Sapernaya in those two buildings. They made it difficult for him to cross that alley :)

Reports from the front.

This is from our first game last night. Damp put up one hell of a defense on this map as the battle results will show. I certainly paid for the real estate.

We continue our game..i have been on defence with yet another skeleton BG.
Very few points...i feel like a digital tobogganist.
Anyway here is a pic of my BG.
I did kill some of Dundradals tanks..so not a complete loss.

The second battle on the map.

Note the small pockets I'd managed to create. They came at a high cost.

First battle of new operation...the stats really don't tell the whole story of this fight. Damp put a serious defense that took me a while to literally blast down.

This shows the main area of death for my troops. To the north as well there was a small engagement but Damp's mortars really nailed two teams in those hedges.

Current Map...Damp put up a stiff defense on the previous map...so much so I forgot to grab some picks of the combat.

I'm about to launch my attack through this map.

Here's my current battle group. I've got quite a bit of points. I have to say that it seems Der Ost Front really favors the Soviets (which does make sense...I just wish I had realized how much because I then I would have chosen to be the Germans) Much of it is resting after the hard fighting on the last map.

Here's how I laid out my battle group. I ceded 80% of the map to him but it still took him 12-13 minutes to cross the terrain at the same time I could harass his movements with my 3 mortar teams.

He closed from the two hilltop points and got about 30% across the open ground when I let loose. Then his Tiger tank showed up and switched the balance. It destroyed 2 tanks, 2 guns and killed perhaps half a dozen troops and wounded double that number before I brought enough fire onto it that Damp accepted a truce I had offered moments before fearing the loss of his tiger.

The red lines are what I think his lines of advance were with infantry. The ends of the line are roughly where I sprung the ambush. The light blue line is the Tiger. That was the only time I saw it on the map hence the incomplete advance route. The blue X's represent units destroyed/made useless by the Tiger. The 2 tanks circled with light blue and have X's inside were also killed by the Tiger in those areas.

This is where the Grand Campaign stands as of quitting time to tonight.

Thanks for reading! We will keep grabbing screenshots. We just get too involved in combat to remember to save all the different ones

I'll get on Damp's case to keep up his German campaign logs as well.

Yes after a few games i had enough points to get a Tiger tank.
How long i can keep it is another story...we shall see.
I have spent a few games on a slim BG...not that that makes a difference.
I still die at full strength.... Yep that was basically my route.
I would go faster IF you stop trying to kill me . Every now & then i see a flash from a tree or hedge line enough to give me a idea of where he has placed his AT. By then it's usally too late...Man even the trees are trying too kill me.
Here is the Battle Debrief screen shot.

This is the only other screen shot i got...Not very good...Yeah we do forget to get screen shots as the action starts. (Scenario Map 1.)
I killed off Duns AT gun with mortar rounds. Hit the tank with my own AT..I had a 8.8cm Flack in the bunker.
Dundradal would bring his tank along the North keeping it out of my LOS..supported by his men. He was quick to kill my men in that area. My men in the centre only held for a few minutes if that. This map was a washout for me.
In the north area i had a ATR Team + MG 42 team + a 7.5 Pak gun.
The centre was a mix of light infantry & Machine gun teams.

The fight continues this evening...

Here's a cropped shot of the third or fourth battle tonight (sorry we spaced grabbing any earlier!). It shows my defensive emplacements being overtaken by a Tiger and supporting infantry.

There's a destroyed 152mm gun in the north. That's a 85mm AA in the center trying to draw a bead on the Tiger and there's a command T-34 '42. In the end my forces in this area were overrun. I cropped in the map as well to show the different action areas.

Here's the remains of the southern sector. Note the wreckage of 3 German tanks. One is a Tiger that Damp advanced a little too quickly and met the end of a Soviet flamethrower. The other two were MK IVs I believe.

Pics from tonight's battles.
As you can see from the screen shot my AT team was hit by mortar..Dundradals tanks finished off the last AT man..Poor sod. They did help too kill off 1 tank as you can see.
My MG team in the same area were ripped apart by Dun's tank. I tried in vain to take out the other tank. Another AT team sat at the west but they had no LOS.
