Here is the Map + Overlay of 3 Tank wrecks....Dundradal left the bridge in the mess you see.
The top north tank is my Command Tank.in the South is my tiger wreck.

Yes so the bridge is You're fault ..You snuck a team of men accross..then Destroyed my shiny tiger tank...Ouch costly.
The idea was for me too take my tiger over the bridge & stick some rounds in you.
Yeah..that never happened.

Wait...I left the bridge a mess? I thought you detonated it! I was about to take a KV-85 across when it blew!

I'll post my pics later today...in a rush for work now!

First Kiev Offensive Map...after one battle. I've expanded by bridgehead a little but it was costly.

Ohh...here's my BG at the start of the operation. I had the 152s in because I was worried about Damp's Tigers. They kept running through me.

After the third battle on the bridge map, Damp retreated where we got into a slugging match....the upper right corner turned into a melee. Great fight!

The red circle is where i placed my 3 mortar teams.
The green Circle line is 1 AT Gun 2 panzerschreck teams + 1 Aufklarer.
The line across the screen shot is the panzerschreck teams trying to get LOS.

The first in a very long street fight through this map. Damp made me pay for every inch of it. The numbers really don't do the battle justice.

The battle results...I captured the hotel after a tough struggle across the street. I lost a flame tank when I got careless and moved it too far forward. I thought the hotel was completely clear, but there was actually a panzerfaust team across the street in the other row of buildings.

This day I took a different approach. After trying to fight my way through town for several days, I figured Damp would never anticipate a southern attack with infantry and tanks. I rushed across the two southern bridges as soon as the game started hoping that I wouldn't hear the crack of AT guns as my tanks moved across the open fields. I was able to secure the road and Quarry VLs with Marines. I then formed a perimeter around the church with infantry and tanks. I lost several whole squads in attempting to encircle it. I also lost a flame tank when once again I moved it too close to contested buildings without first clearing the surrounding areas.

After several minutes of movement I finally got two teams into the church where they encountered an MG and AT gun at the northern end of the structure. It was a hell of a fight that in the end only 2 men from my two squads survived (Marines and Assault team [non-flame]). Time was running out so I rushed those two men northern into the university to secure the building. I'd had a SU152 shelling the structure along with a T-34 '42 for two minutes or so.

My two men encountered a few enemies, but my flame tank to the north lit up the building and the two men charged in. I moved my flame tank a bit forward and it was caught with a panzerfaust from the 3 story building to the north of the university in the center of the map. Soon after the time expired. Great fight.

This turn I had a small BG because of rest requirements. However I traded away some under performing units and went infantry heavy this turn. I deployed near the hotel and university in the center of the map. There was a heated battle near the hill in the center. I tried to encircle the apartment VL in the west, but was able to rush 2 marine squads into the structure and force Damp's troops to withdraw. The row of buildings to the south of the apartment VL was a hard fight. I had to inch up the street for most of the game. His teams held onto those buildings until I had the building 75% surrounded. Then I was able to rush in with assault troops and eliminate them.

While this was going on I had diverted two squads to the north to probe the factory complex. In crossing the northern road one assault team was almost annihilated. I pulled the second team back but it suffered light losses. Not long after (3 or 4 minutes) of back and forth fire Damp offered a cease-fire and I accepted since my squads were hurting after the brutal combat.

Here's my BG at the start of the night's battles. I was definitely tank heavier than I should have been but I was concerned about later maps, even though I had plenty of points.

Here's my BG at the end of the night. When the Soviets are on the attack they certainly are much more well supplied then the Germans it seems.

I have 1 in game screen shot.
By the time a grabbed the screen shot i had lost a big chunk of my BG.
I was down to 2 Sturmgruppe assault squads & my Zugfuhrer.
My last Panzerschreck team are just of shot crossing the road to bring them into line to try to take out the tank to the North East. Or help kill off the tank in the middle..but the clock was fast ticking down to zero. I have 2 mortar teams At the North West laying smoke down as you can see in the Screen shot.
Yes at this point the AT team + MG in the church are still alive...Haha Not for long.

Yeah that screenshot is before I'd rushed the church because you can see on the map in the lower left my forces forming the perimeter.

That tank in the center of the screen is my flame tank that would end up dying when it entered that fork in the road and took the angled street. I had cleared the university but not that 3 story building.

A screen shot of some of the Action (Not great).
The mini map shows 2 mortar teams at the back of the hill (NorthWest)
AT 7.5 cm Pak Top North.
In the centre (St Ivans) is a s.MG 42 squad + Sturmgruppe.
I attacked his men in the buildings with mortar & the Flame Halftrack.
You can see the mortar marks.
The AT in the north fired upon the tank in pic..just behind the tank in the tree line a
Panzerschreck team also fired upon Dun's tank.
Once the tank was dead the Sturmgruppe could fire at the building again.
I moved the Flame halftrack down towards the south house to get a better shot into the building. That was a mistake it was quickly killed.(But i do not remember what killed it.)
I had no chance of getting back that victory point.
More armour was fast closing in...one giant squibectomy.

Another battle on that same map Damp posted. These are the results from the first battle.

He put up a hell of a defense! I couldn't find several of his AT guns for a few minutes and paid dearly for it.

The map started well for me i placed 1 At gun in the monastery along with a MG team.
I had another AT gun in the building across the bridge to the north.
1 AT gun on the hill to the west.
No mortar this time as i was low on points yet again...ho hum.
I had a mix of light squads & SS Sturmgrenadiere.
The AT gun in the monastry would take out the tanks in the pic.
The end result would be a decisive victory for me...for this first match.

Dundradal would take the south VL's the VL on the hill & the bridge...pushing me into a small pocket.
By the time i got to the North pocket i had enough points with a swap around to get some
mortar teams..& boy did they come in handy.
I thought Dundradal would come across the bridge & finish the job quickly.
But for once good placement of AT guns..& a lot of luck would see me hold him.

The map above saw great use in the last two operations. Damp made me fight for every tree line and the last day of the op was a great battle in the upper left corner of the map. Which is what I have pictures of.

Here's a shot from that last battle. Note the T-34 wrecks in the area. That damn bridgehead was expensive!

In this shot you can see I packed the bridgehead with infantry hoping to force my way to the tree line. That didn't happen. The woods in the area suffered heavy bombardment from both of us as almost all the fighting occurred in the small pockets of woods on the map.

The operation ended and Damp went on the counterattack. We forgot to grab any pics until we got back to this map again. It once again was a fight for the stands of trees.
