There was a day, when i was playing this awesome game, when suddently in the part that was so fun but so fun that i was almost trowing my own head of the window, and giving it so 5 or 6 shots... and in that very moment the goddammit ******* game gave me a F*******G error that i imagined a person like my self destroying my PC of every way that was possible and escorting it personaly to HELL, and then bringing it back to my house just to destroy it again and again and again. And in the final moments when there were only pieces of destroyed atoms and corrosive matter (I don't even know if this exists but let me continue...) just destroy what: Me,you, the developers and everybody else call as LIFE (Yes i'm still planing to destroy the "LIFE" of my PC) But in my mind i've got a question and a idea and more ways to destroy the PC but let's concentrate on the question and the idea...

QUESTION: Why this game must have so many problems, bugs, system incompatibility,f*******g error of s*** and all this trouble, i know that i'm saying too much than i have but i need to say this in any form that i can...But now let's go to the idea...

IDEA: Why the God-Gifted developers of this game don't make a patch... i'm not saying a patch like the others "Fix List: 1:XXXXXXXXXXXXXX 2:XXXXXXXXXXX" i'm saying THE PATCH not just making a revision of what we say but make an entire revision of the entire game!!! Also i know that it could take a lot of time and could be boring and they could cease the "operations" on the game and all but when you make all the revisions and all, you just throw that patch to us "zombies" whanting more patches... And then we just need to say what still needs to be dealt with!!!

Just think about it...

Thanks For Reading

Wow, chill mate.  Sorry if you've never encountered a bug before and its temporarily thwarted your Imperial Ambitions and all but your adolescent vitriol is way out of place here.

Put the mouse down and step away from the computer.

Edit- Also, if you could rar up a savegame and describe the bug and just put all that in the Tech Support forum that would be ideal.

Thanks.

1:I have encoutered many bugs if not i was not puting all this text and everything.

2:I did not have "Imperial Ambitions" i'm just saying what happened and why i'm that much angry so stop saying things that did not make sense. No Offense of Course.

3:As well as that was "funny" it does not make sense because the only thing that i can do with a mouse is to click it all the way around and possibly break it. And for the "Step away from the computer" it also does not makes any sense because i will not break my PC unlikely of my wishes...

Sorry mate.I have deleted it after the bug and started a new game, and surprisingly i never seen this again.

And yet many of us can play for hours on end with no bugs at all.

And FYI, ranting like this will not get things fixed. What it will accomplish is getting you ignored by the very people you need to report bugs to. Anyone who posts something like this gets ignored by me and just about any other developer out there. No one gets motivated to do anything by a curse filled rant.

Don't forget to send it to Erik and Elliot next time :)

That way you'll never encounter it again once its fixed.

Games are complex, it's very hard to make them 100% bug free especially for relatively small teams.

They should be fixed, yes and we have the ability to significantly speed up the fixing process by sending save games with the error

I understand your frustration!

Well sir you say much indeed but fail to specify or list a single bug.How about doing this list the "TOP TEN" bugs that cause you to loose it..........oh yea,in DW of course.I also happen to think Elliot has done a remarkable job creating the game let alone patching/fixing tweeking things post release.

As for the title of this thread, well sir this is a science fiction game and your title is in keeping with that genre.

I've moved this to Tech Support in anticipation of receiving some bug reports.

Sorry if i say "too much" but it is very frustrating when you are playing for hours with that very luck that only come when a asteroid crashes on the planet, and you just get an error that crashes the dang thing...(especially in the better part.)Also ignoring everybody isn't a good thing, because if somebody says something that you don't like you can't just ignore it and leave it alone.

Well thanks for "posting" in this little forum...But i'm sorry but the errors that i get some times can't be fixed as far as i know. But in now that you are looking for a bug to "fix" (that i don't know if it have already been fixed...) i have one for you.

When i was playing a game in one specific day i was acessing the Game Editor several times only to put the AI against me... and in the fourth time i've acessed it, it have come to me a error that said something that i don't remember now but crashed the game anyways... but there is a error in the game editor i'm almost certain of it.

Also there goes a list of things that can be put in the Game Editor:

1:Putting Stars,Systems,Black Holes,Gas Clouds,Etc, is missing and it would be very good for me especificaly to put it back on the game.

2:When you put new empires on the game there are several errors that come as following: The "Galaxy Map" of the Diplomacy Screen come with with a big red and white "X" in it and also there are no way to put a homeworld in the galaxy because there appears an error that prohibits you from exiting the "Empire Editor".

3:There could be a "Filter" of ships filtering the obsolete form the "Non-Obsolete designs" that would be very helpfull to me.

These are the error that i've found on the Game Editor hope it helps you.

I've already said that i say too much but, it is difficult to report bugs because many are fixed of course and now everybody are just saying things that CAN be added to the game. Yeah the title realy are keeping the genre. And sorry for posting all that "wrong" things that i've said, my mouth is really really dirty...

where are those times when the games were bugless. People just got lazy and lazier than lazy. 15 years ago patches were basically a myth. If I have to compare this game to ascedency, I'd pick ascedency even though it's an ancient game. Probably more fun and bugless.

You're remembering a time before video cards, before internet, before mods, when disk space mattered, when there was only a handful of drivers that needed to be catered for, when your development choices were minimal, etc etc. Back then you had no second chances so games of the scope of DW wouldn't have been contemplated.

I think that the devs are doing the right thing by including the players in the development process.

Also, back then games were much simpler to produce and many game developers were individuals or very small teams. A few years ago no mainstream game could be built that way and required large development teams. Now we are entering a new phase where the small indie companies can compete again and this is awesome for us 'niche' gamers. This alone is enough for me to cut a lot of slack to the small passionate dev teams and embrace the process they need to adopt to get the job done. With so many 'large' games now giving preference to consoles we need to support the devs who look after our PC gaming needs

you mean the time where todays niche gamers like us composed the mainstream of the pc gamers? and where the concentration on our needs and the concentration on the needs of the masses of gamers were thus not a choice of opposite directions, but one and the same?
