There was a railline running up the coast from Brisbane all the way to Cairns. Troop trains and supply trains ran around the clock moving troops and supplies up the coast. It seems to have disappeared from the game.

Also there was no real road between Cairns and Cooktown, all troops and supplies had to be shipped in by boat.

Having this railway in the game, would make life much more simple for the allies and resupply much more accurate.

Cheers, Chris

In all seriousness Chris has made a very good point that touches on some important UV " issues"..

If you use Cooktown to base the supply guzzling B-17`s for Bombing Lae, and / or run supply Transports up to PM from there to keep their Bomb Missions going , as well as expediating the Eng. base construction function in the Eary Game , it will quicky go into minimal supply and not recover anytime soon, if at all.

I know that Supply "Bleeds " up the land Hexs from Brisbane, but this is perhaps not the best way to deal with the Cooktown supply issue.

I`ve considered using the editor to increase the default starting May 1941 supply to much more then the 40000 it starts with.

..but I`m uncomfortable with that for several reason, first, unless you hugely increase it it will only have a short term effect.

Second it really feels like a cheat :o

Third, it would be a "bandage" IMO for the second, perhaps larger and more important issue, the Immense Supply consumptiom of the B-17`s and B-24`s, that can, and does, bring your Bombing Campaign to a screeching halt...as well as having a ripple effect in other areas.

I know this has been addressed in some length in other threads, but with no resolution, or comments from Matrix.

Sorry for the long Windey Post !! ;)
