There's a whole bunch of information on the subject already, but many of it seems to date from before the revamping of the training system in patch v1.00.95.

In referral to page 5 of the Pilot Management Addendum (which I think is the most current 'official' source of information) I have a couple of questions/clarifications to ask:

1. what is 'a dedicated Training group'? Is this still referring to the old Training Groups that could be flooded with additional pilots, or does it refer to any group with its mission set to 'Training', or just any group with a training percentage set regardless of mission?

2. what is 'an instructor'? Is this equal to a pilot with exp>80 (aka a veteran pilot) and does the term refer only to pilots in TRACOM?

3. are the 5 listed types of end-of-day skill/experience increases cumulative, or is it just the first taking effect?

Thanks & cheers,

Moss

I am also interested in the answers; for some reason, this part of the game keeps me wondering if I am doing the right method.

Hi Moss,

Several of your references refer to the short-lived incorporation of training groups into the beta Patch III. These references made it into the .pdf addendum, but did NOT make it into the actual patch. There are no training groups to speak of any longer, nor are there training group leaders that are distinguished from any other air group commander.

Don't understand question #3, but if you're asking whether pilots can have multiple skill increases in the same day, the answer is yes. A common example for 'escort' training would be a simultaneous increase in 'air' and 'defense'.
