This is mentioned under Game data:

Turn Play: Cont. Play with Pause Option
Players: 1 Player
AI: Either Side
TCP/IP: Yes
PBEM: Yes
Game Editor: Yes

What do you mean with "Cont. Play with Pause Option". Will the game be real time or turn based?

What does "Players: 1 Player" mean? This IS a multi player game, right?

"AI: Either Side" - are there not more than two sides?

"TCP/IP: Yes, PBEM: Yes, Game Editor: Yes" - Nice to see all these features :)

Keep up the hard work.

If additional responses increase the chance of a moderator answering questions, I want to weigh in on this one.

I especially was concerned about the "cont. play with pause option" thing. I sure hope this isn't going to resemble that total disaster of an attempt at "Computer Diplomacy" that came out several years ago (and besides, you got to be careful about playing around with those "cont.s", especially if they're exercising their "menopause option").

I will now proceed to entangle the entire area

Dear Matrixgames,
I think it is sad that you don't have time to answer my question.
Especially I find it disturbing if this game turn out to be a single player game. If so you are wasting your time in my opinion.

Sorry ABP,

There have been some significant developments with this game in the last few weeks that have everyone working madly as we try to decide on the final direction that the design will take.

Your question, which is a good one, slipped through the cracks in the midst of all the excitement. I don't have the answer for you but I will let Marshall and David know that they need to respond to your question with the latest information.

Hi ABP

I am sorry I could not answer your question fast enough to make you happy but we are hard at work on the game. We are in the middle of a MAJOR deal now that I can not go into the details at this time but give us some time and we hope to be able to let everyone in on the news.

There will be a PBEM multiplayer 2-7 players, Internet 2-7 players, head to head mode and many different game options that can be turned on and off.

Each country can be controled by a human or the AI. Again some of this may change but that is the current ideas and plans. I hope this answered your questions for now.

David

Yes, thank you. This news is very reassuring. The things put in the Game data section looked worrisome. This latest clarification show that you are going in the right direction from my perspective.

Yeah, baby, I'm down with that.

I still kinda wonder about the "cont. play with pause option" thing, but I am sure the design is in capable hands and this does not indicate any "real time" kind of silliness.

Don't respond. Just keep on working. I've got the tricolor all ready, the regimental colors all spruced up, equipped the Imperial Guard with new beaver hats, and got my emperor's hat cocked at just the right angle. Spend all day humming the Marseillaise.

C'mon, Wellington, Bagration, Nelson, Charles, Bluecher, and the rest of you. Hit me with your best shot.

Vive la difference - I mean - Vive la France.
