Yes that works a bit but I can't get it solid, do you now what range the values have that I can set there?
Seems that 10000 are treated like 1, 1000-2000 seems equal but getting higher also seems to raise transparency like lower values do.

Running in Windows 7 64bit. Top menu bar does not load up until you mouse over each menu item. Option changes are not saved.

I like the new map and movement path graphics and like being able to mouse grab the map to move it. Wish it were a smoother more visual move. Like the mouse over pop up descriptions of items and map terrain. The improvements look real nice.

I had the same issue the first time I launched TOAW III after installing the 3.4 beta (no issues when running 3.2 prior). I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit. ATI 5750 video card with latest drivers.

I have noticed now that sometimes when starting the game, top menu bar is visible (this is the menu bar before a scenario is loaded), sometimes it is not. Mousing over the white space caused the words to appear / be drawn properly.

Option changes didn't save properly the time that I started game and top menu bar was hidden. When I restarted the game and the menu bar was visible, option changes saved properly (option I was changing was related to playing opening movies.)

Thanks,
Carl G.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that. Too many years as a programmer <sigh> the values are from 0 (transparent) to 255 (solid)
ToolTipColor is the color, but it's a bit messed up at the moment.

Thanks,

That should be fixed with the public patch. I was doing everything right, but the menu wasn't showing, so I added another layer of win32 goo. I thought it was related to my machine and debugging.
I think that option saves may not happen until you exit the program. It's on the list of things to fix, but pretty far down.

Just out of curiosity I checked it out, using a small scenario and... it indeed doesn't seem to work anymore. Didn't oocur to me, because I rarely use/notice it. It can't be the interdiction level influencing it, the USAAF ruled the skies in my scenario and my mobile units with sufficient MP didn't move an inch to help their mates.

Ralph (and others),
Many thanks for all the work put into this patch!
Two minor things that I have noted so far:

  • When using the 'air units' menu to change orders for air units, the letter is not updated on the counter.
  • The message appearing when finishing a PBEM turn still has the misleading " ... select one of the options below..." when there never has been any options at that point in TOAW III

Regards,
Martin

My friends and I have done some tests to see whether the anti cheat system really works in the new patch. We appreciate the new improvement in cheat prevention such as Random Seed, however, we know it's not omnipotence because if we slightly change the attack plan it will bring a totally different result, that means someone can still try his combat result to look for a better one, so we think cheat warning is the most important thing for cheat prevention.

We have tested cheat message over and over again. On one hand, many times we received the message "Your Opponet may have reloaded blah blah times" when our opponet testers didn't cheat at all, on the other hand, after we reloaded the game to sent, there's no anti-cheat messages on opponets' screen. One thing I have to mention is that we shut down the game and reload it in 2 ways, one is to close TOAW proccess directly and the other one is to end turns without hit YES button. Both of them lead to uncertain results, cheat message with right reloaded times, cheat message with wrong reloaded times, and no cheat message at all.

Also I post it here http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=2554114
