I should try to capture a screen shot of the surface engagement Torsten and I had off Guadalcanal.  His 2 CV's and 1 CVL, along with 2 BB's and escorts, blundered into my CV and escorts during a thunderstorm.

Needless to say, everyone ran like heck!

Too sad one can't give immediate orders.
My surface forces were much stronger than yours, I usually would've said: Hunt them down while my carriers retreat...

But they ran away like scared schoolchildren? C'mon Historiker, don't you have some control over your armed forces?

T, that's certainly not what Historiker meant.

I'm pretty sure that he's not that stupid. He just wants to enrage me.

I've got to ask you , why does "enrage" seem to be one of your favorite words? You apply it too T , you apply it to me.......What's the deal?

Maybe because my word pool is limited in this language and I don't always have a dictionary right next to my computer?

Wow! I'd have never thought that, considering your expertise on all languages, including some that are not your own.

While you are looking such up , perhaps you might look up an English expression...."what's good for the goose is good for the gander". Then review some of your own posts for the last year and a half.

so how did I make you angry this time?

edit:
or does: "enrage" mean something else than "make somebody (really) angry"?

Absolutely! You have to admit the screenshot with all those carriers facing off was pretty amusing.

Slogging through second turn orders while I watch installation progress bars creep along even slower on 4 lab machines.

Yes, but Mike-would your immediate orders have been contrary to your standing order number one?

1. When in doubt, run away?
2. When in doubt about the wisdom of running away, please see rule number 1.

From my side, no! I only had 2 or 3 CA's as escort to 1 CV, and a bunch of DD's. Torsten had 2 BB's, a few CA's (I think) and a handful of DD's. It would have been ugly. I'm glad my boys ran away to fight another day. Too bad a sub ventilated Enterprise with 5 or 6 fish the very next day.

You make me angry by being what you have so often accused everyone else of. We've discussed this many , many times , via PM,email and on the forum. T stepped over the line no question about it. But it was out of frustration and in reaction to your constant comments. You have NEVER hesitated to stomp on someone elses toes , then tell them that "They were over-reacting". So think about this very, very carefully......how does it feel to be the one offended and have someone tell you "That you are over reacting".

As the current USA president is fond of saying "This is a teaching (or teachable) moment. I have tried for nearly 15 months to explain to you why you need to be carefull on what you say and to consider how you might be offending people. Like the proverbial "bull in the china shop" you've blown me and everybody else off. NOW taht you are offended (and rightly so, I might add) you reach for the green button and claim to be the agrieved party.(As you are). So how does it feel to be in that position? NOW perhaps when someone says "don't call me that" or please stop offending me, you might appreciate their situation.

Science has yet to devise an installation progress bar that's fast enough.

Thank you for the explanation.
I use the green button as freely as anyone else does.

When my "constant comments" are the problem, I better wave goodbye to forum, again
I'm pretty sure T said this because of the deep "sympathy" he has for me - a sympathy, that I mirror meanwhile

Goodbye gentlemen, have a nice day!

Many a naval engagement in history has been won by the means of an "engage the enemy more closely" signal from the flag as a way to kick subordinates in the pants.

Gander = female of the goose species (male generally being referred to as "goose")
