Zip it, bird! Like you never did anything silly.

On the plus side, I spoke with the company and they will give me a partial refund (minus restocking fee) when I return it.

Ok, so I should have just asked the Thread Brothers for advice to begin with. Stop gloating.

I can sleep tonight knowing that I'm not as big of a nerd as I might have otherwise thought. But a nice chunk of change, though. Good for him.

Greetings, guys.  I'm back from Thailand today.  "Wat" has been going on around here?

Glad to see that youve returned to home port and safely dropped your "angkor".

Welcome home! How was the trip?

Thanks, guys. The trip could have been much shorter to accomplish the same business. Poor organization going into the trip led to way too much downtime.

I know, I know, "Poor Chickenboy with 'too much downtime' in Bangkok. Whatever can one do in Bangkok to pass the time?"

We don't care about the work! Tell us about the downtime!

A day at the Grand Palace complex (including reclining Buddha), some low key shopping and the Bangkok zoo.

The latter with 'fish therapy' optional: you take off your shoes and socks and immerse your feet into a big tank with small fish. The fish eat on your callouses and toejam. Very popular with the locals. No freakin' thanks, dude...

Regarding *other* recreational activity in Bangkok-none of that. Not to say that it isn't around here in spades, just that I wasn't touching it with a 10 foot pole. Or at least not MY pole.

COLMAN, S.D. — A 150-pound mountain lion was no match for a squirrel-chasing terrier on a farm in eastern South Dakota. Jack the Jack Russell weighs only 17 pounds, and yet he managed to trap the cougar up a tree on Tuesday.

Jack's owner, Chad Strenge, told The Argus Leader that the dog "trees cats all the time," and that the plucky terrier probably "figured it was just a cat."

Professor Jonathan Jenks, who tracks cougar migration patterns, says hunters usually need two or three hounds to chase a lion up a tree. He says the cat probably wasn't hungry enough to attack Jack.

Strenge used a shotgun to knock the mountain lion from the tree and – assisted by Jack – chased and fatally shot it.

Arden Petersen, of the wildlife division of Game, Fish and Parks, told The Madison Daily Leader that no charges will be filed.

Pikes not good? Northern Pike that I caught in Minnesota tasted great fried in butter. Plus a great fight, I remember thinking I caught a rock. Then it started moving upstream

Well here we are again at the weekend. I sit here drinking some Winter Ale's enjoying the evening played some Baldurs gate 2 and some Vietnam Combat Operations and then thought why not drop in on the madness that is the THREAD!!!. I played Paths of Glory the other day a fantastic board game if any of you are into that sort of thing I played as the Central Powers it was a stalemate Russia never fell to the revolution because I wasn't too aggressive in the east until mid 1919 The Western front almost collapsed in mid '17 but I managed to hold on. Great Game I highly recommend it if you can see my post and I haven't been purged by the green button Enjoy the weekend guys I wish you all the best I will be working

Pikes are not seen as "food fish" here, no. I agree that they put up a good fight though.

Good guess.

First game is at 0930, and the second game is at 1500. Team lunch and tailgating in between.

+1. The smaller to medium sized Pike, when properly cleaned (they've got a ****load of small bones in them) have very tender and lightly flavored flesh. Larger Pike (and very large Walleye) are less edible for most concerned.
