Yep... WitE is very close to release...

And new projects (that will eventually all interlink - Joel posted about that on WitE public forum) are to follow!

Interesting.....trying to redo the Europa boardgame series or something?

I'm quite curious what you think of WitE. I went through a couple AARs. Looks like an impluse-based system at first glance...

There are no "Pulses" like in TOAW!

The WitE is IGYG ("I Go - You Go") game - one player moves (the MPs = "Movement Points" for each unit separately are only limit) the n the other (and there are "reaction" for defender - you can put units in "Reserve Mode" so they can help attacked buddy units)!

I enjoy a good cat fight from time to time, but not when it's the same one I've seen 50 times.

One of those two aforementioned is green buttoned for me. It's not as entertaining following half an argument. Kind of like the sound of one hand clapping.

Only green-buttoned one person (EiA forum). Ungreen-buttoned him later. Don't really mind whether someone is malicious, biased, inaccurate or just plain stupid. I've sure some people have thought that I belong in all/some/one/none of the categories at one time or another. There are so few updates to the forum that it doesn't take too much time to keep up-to-date anyway.

How do you mean?

In your turn you attack and make hole. With other (or same forces if they have MPs left) you exploit the gap as deep and you can (or dare to go).

During your turn the defender's units use automatic "Reserve" trying to stop you in your attacks (if units are set to "reserve").

Very simple!

yeah, i think you use up move points to attack, so moving/attacking are sortof the same thing...kinda...

Makes sense. If you move an shoot youre attacking. If you stand and shoot youre defending. I think.....

OK, going to sleep now.

As for the WitE move/attack model, I like it. It's simple and gets the job done. You can decide how much preparation you want to put into an attack, and it'll cost you more or less movement to execute it.
