Thank you Torsten. I'm sure that all the Americans on the Thread appreciate that you remember this solemn date. As a person whose life is so closely connected to NYC, I feel that whatever events followed 9/11 and whatever our individual political thoughts are, there should be no argument about the bravery of the NYPD and NYFD men and women on that day, or the needlessness of the loss of life.

In other news, I dragged my mom into the cellphone era today, by turning my old phone over to her, along with a pay-as-you-go SIM.

She was absolutely certain that she'd never be able to learn to use it, but by the time I got back to my own place, she called me up on it...

Team leaders are just there to take all the glory when things go well and to misinterpret information and explain it badly to their superiors. Who will then misinterpret that info and explain that to their superiors. Who will probably be too busy playing golf to care.
