After enough of the local booze. Had a very good run ashore in Ouistreham, a local gay rugby player took a shine to Tony. Then of course there was the shopping trolley rally through town.

Mombers was a bloody good run too. If I had time I'd tell you about the train trip to Nairobi too.

By this last bit, do you mean to tell us that there was a shopping cart race through town? Please, dear sir, details?

What better way to end a night? There was 6 of us so we had 3 trollies, 1 pushing, 1 riding.

I'll bet there are still stories told of the night NASCAR came to Normandy.

I second that. I do my part each year, but it would be fine with me if it never existed as a Holiday.

Nik , I've not said anything because I really can't imagine the hell that you are going through. I'd like to say I've been there, and offer some sage words of wisdom, but I can't. All I can say , is that if good wishes mean anything in this painfull world, please know that you have mine. And from what I've seen on these pages the last few days, you have the prayers and best wishes of a lot of people who care for you.

Nik, I've been quiet since some folks have given better advise than I can.

My story was about a Dear John letter I received while serving in Haiti. My 1st Sgt, name Johnson, found out about it and asked if he should take my bullets away. I said no. He then asked if he should take my belt or shoelaces away. I asked "Your gonna take my shoelaces but leave my bullets"? He said "Your going to work for me in the training room, it will be alright". Best NCO I ever worked for. I was feeling down and desperate, confronted so plainly I was saved. You haven't mentioned dark thoughts but your sleeping at work indicates self harm. If I can be so plain, survive.

Hell, even T likes you. He hates everyone. Peace.
