That's one of my favorite lines about golf. When I'm asked if I golf, I typically respond that, "I try not to." Yet I get roped into it. Furio said it well in the Sopranos too.

Anyways, have fun, dude.

my friend in tx left me a VM about it....he's fearful the PacNW might get some of the aftershocks or a followup. We are due in this region. It needs to wait at least a couple more weeks!

Bought it yesterday, started it up... BUT, I need a new system. Without a dual core CPU whenever you reach an autosave point the game goes into a continuous loop trying to save. I guess sometimes in the next few weeks I'll have to put together a new machine...

Johnny: So do you do anything special before arnie plays in a tournament?
Winny: Yes, I kiss each of his balls for good luck.
Johnny: Wow...I bet that makes his putter stick out!

On one of Carson's later shows that I saw he and McMahon talked about some of the myths that were out there but that actually never happened. That was one of them. Another was the Rachel Welch episode - where she came out and sat down with a cat in her lap and asked him if he wanted to pet her **** (a five letter word beginning with "P" that much of the world uses to refer to 'cat' but the forum has edited out and replaced with 4 stars), and he said 'sure if you move that cat', and she walked out angry - never happened but a very famous story/myth. I even had heard the story years before, but it was fake.

Started Dragon Age II. It's early days yet, but the story seems very complicated.

Well, that's why I have an i7.

Does DA2 really need that much more processing power than the original? The original DA ran fine on my ****e machine.

My old rig is approaching retirement age (3 years) soon so I've started to skim the net for possible components for a new one. The old one is still competitive as it was top notch three years ago, but as a bachelor, I can afford to indulge in my vices and build a shiny new toy. "Competitive" isn't good enough

Will probably get an i7. Satisfied with yours, T? Which model do you have?

if i had a home and a job....i'd be with you as i am now 100% free of any entanglements and can also indulge in 'toys'

Before my current rig failed it was still 'competetive' after 3 years. (core2 quad 3Ghz with a nVidia GTX 8800 and 8Gigs of DDR3. I'd yet to run into a game it could not run well. Alas.....i've been eyeing a new i7 myself. Even priced out the components i would buy. Better....i already have the power source and RAM. Just need a MOB...the CPU, new video card and a case.

But that will have to wait for more stable times. Must make do in the meantime with a 17in MacBook Pro running Snow Lepoard and XP (Core 2 dual)

It's one of the better songs to have stuck in my head. Thanks.

i'm embarrassed to say that one of my favorites is the cover they did of "I Will Survive"...maybe it's the shameless use of the f-word that makes it so...

+1 - i just thought the whole thing was hilarious!!

Sorry if I hurt you Nik. It might have been a little insensitive of me to start talking about that given that I know of your current situation. My bad.

Your old rig sounds like mine. It's a Intel Quad 6850 Extreme running at 3.66 GHz. GTS 8800 Gfx card. Only went for 4GB RAM as I run 32 bits XP.

Hope that things will work out for you so you can build that new rig. In the meantime, however, a 17" MacBook is not a too shabby substitute in by books at least
