Last week's waste of money: Homefront. Unless you find that game in a bargain bargain bin (and yes, I wrote "bargain" twice for a reason), don't bother.

They reanimated John Millius for that game, and he just took Red Dawn and put some Koreans in there to replace the Russians and Cubans. Ridiculous.

Certainly sounds like a worthy pursuit. But tell me, Leo, what is a "woth" and where do you keep it?

I never pay attention to spelling when in hurry to leave work...

Evening tithe.

Currently at the hotel Fort of Sedan.

All is well, apart from the keyboard having a different key layout than I'm used to.

Not enough loop thingies above the "A" characters for your taste?

ETA: Don't the Viking languages use "J" for anything?

Clearly you aren't aware of how the junior ranks of Her Majesty's Royal Air Force approach war. A long way from the front Unless I'm flying into Kandahar, when I'm normally asleep.

Sorry mate, "no comment" is all I can say on the subject. Sure you'll understand. Although I can probably get away with showing one pic (from 120 or so) from my part in Operation Ellamy...

Woo hoo!!! Finally!!!

Wise Man's Fear

This series is great...if like Tolkienesque medieval epic storytelling. Name of the Wind was the first one. Highly recommended.......

I'd also recommend this, sex, violence and swearing in a good fantasy novel. Just what us tiny tots are used to.

It's probably a made up word, like most UK operations these days.

Luckily that you don't have GPS data written in EXIF in your JPEG (BTW, the original EXIF is not removed after photo editing)...

All new photo cameras, mobile phones etc. save so called meta-data in JPG when picture is taken.

This data contains the name of camera, time, various timings of camera etc.

If device has GPS the GPS data is also written there.

When you edit picture (and you used Paint.NET) that original EXIF data is not erased - it is preserved and only editing data is added (in your case the name of pain program you used to shrink picture and write some stuff on it)!

Another bad translation of a Russian joke:

Moscow, rush hour, bus is stuffed to the rafters....

A pretty young lady says to an older woman wedged in next to her...

-"Mom, I think I'm going to have a baby"
-"Really?!?! Who is the father?
-"I dont know, I cant turn around to see."

So, a Russian crow has a piece of cheese, and is sitting up in a tree... out of reach of a fox who sees the crow (and wants the cheese).

The fox says "crow, crow - are you aware of what is going on in the country?"

The crow doesn't reply.

The fox says "Crow, crow - are you politically active?"

The crow doesn't reply.

The fox says "Crow, crow - are you going to vote for Putin in the next election?"

The crow says "YES!!" and in doing so, drops the cheese.

The fox grabs the cheese and runs off.

The crow contemplates his misfortune, then says "And if I said No, would it have made a difference?"

A paraphrase of a Krilov parable. That sounds like a Russian joke.

Yeah, mine does too... after today, i am going to see if i can influence them not to. That should cost Dell a few hundred K/year if i can. Doubtful, but i'll give it a shot.
