Got a real-life story from my hospital stay;

After one of my exploratory surgeries, the one with the bleeding complication. I was recovering in the surgery ward, and was been visited regularly by the team Surgeons. These two eminent Surgeons would visit me about three times a day, with a large team of followers. They would arrive, and the curtains around my bed would be pulled, then they would examine the area of the surgery.

On the second day after the operation this team was examining me, when one of the head Surgeons had a closer look at one of the surgery wounds. He points out something to the other head Surgeon who was on the other side of the bed. So both Surgeons decided to swap sides of the bed, so the second guy can have a look at the wound. They meet at the end of the bed, and bang, they accidentally head-butt each other. I couldn't help it, and start laughing. I then said 'So you two guys had my life in your hands two days ago'.

It was just one of those moments in life, when a serious moment got a bit lighter. Everybody there saw the funny side, and started laughing too (about fifteen people). I have since found-out that I had quite a serious bleed during the surgery, and these two guys probably saved my life.

That was Moe and Larry. Curly handled the anesthesia!

Outdoors is outdoors. Leave the poor SOBs alone, will ya?

What, the same people who use the world as their ashtray? I just love drivers who flick their red hot ciggy end out the window. Can I throw the contents of our cat litter tray at their house?

The next time you are at a stoplight, especially at an exit ramp from a highway, look down at the ground next to the driver's side.

I'm not promoting drivers littering their butts out the window. I think that's disgusting too. It's also a fire hazard-several fires are started annually in drier climes by such behavior. One such in CA a few years back burned much of the Oakland foothills. Same goes for smokers that put their butts on the ground. Bad form. Littering like this should be enforced and the litterers fined heavily.

Trying to defend smokers choice is like trying to defend Hitler. Very difficult in today's society of outraged victims. What I'm touching on is once you insist that others curb their outdoor behavior to suit your own needs, it's a slippery slope. Maybe we should promote a 'shiv a sweaty Dane' day for those that are offended by sweat and human body odor that they are exposed to it after some Dane has a prolonged workout and chooses not to shower before returning home? What about joggers running by with sweat dripping from them, stinking up the beautiful out of doors? Kids outside playing? Well that's noise pollution writ large. Definitely call the cops. Dogs URINATING on public walkways? Definitely need to call the cops there too.

Yes, because standing next to me when I'm sweaty is EXACTLY like standing next to some pathetic nicotine junkie in a stinking cloud of carginogenic smoke.

Either way, watched "Red" tonight. Surprisingly good (and funny) flick. Looks like Willis, Freeman, Malkovitch, Mirren, Parker et al had fun shooting it.

The previews look good, and I do want to see it. The whole "actors had fun" element cannot be overlooked. Some of my very favorite movies are the Ocean's flicks.

Have you seen Ocean's Thirteen? I liked the first two, but never got around to seeing the third.

Yep, I own it on DVD. It's fun, and easier to follow along with than 12. Of course, 12 had Catherine Zeta Jones, which rockets any movie way up my personal list.

Late morning tithe...

Busy Easter Monday here today, as it is ANZAC Day also. Which is our Memorial Day in Australia and New Zealand.

So to all the Soldiers around the World, Veteran and Serving, but especially the ones who never came home. Thank You.

No public holiday here today, but my day has started off extremely well with the above posts!

Time to go hit the bowflex and go for a run.

Yep, same here.

Article in the Journal this morning about how many a Brit is taking three days off between this week and next to get an 11 day holiday. Also, getting out of town whilest all the monarchy-loving Yanks (et. al.) flood in for the marriage seems to be a popular move in Londinium.

I couldn'd do the 3 day thing as half my team is married to school teachers or has young kids so I gave them preference for the days off (it's school holidays this 2 weeks).

Mrs P and her mom are heading into London Friday but not until after the wedding is finished, they're going for 2 nights.
