Just got the callback for a second interview tomorrow.  4 hours to meet with 4 or 5 different people there.

It could make for a nice birthday.

Good luck! Looks like I'll get 4 hours today. I guess I'll mow the lawn for the first time in 2011.

Ah yes, that is tomorrow

Good luck with the interview - fingers crossed!

On a joking side note - Tomorrow might be a good day to rent (in case you don't already have one ) and wear a Captain America suit. In case that you don't do that - Have you had any thoughts on what superpowers you would like to have if you get that question?

Knock 'em dead dude. I'm sure they'll think you're great.

Please make sure that you check your watch regularly during the interview. When asked why, please explain in detail that you are anxiously awaiting a 2x2 WitP:AE PBEM turn and that you need to break away for a few minutes when it arrives. Ask 'em if you can use their hotspot too for uploading and downloading the turn(s). It shouldn't take you more than 90 minutes to flip a turn, so you'll get back to them.

Ask them about their policy on Monday and Friday absenteeism.

Ask them about their drug testing policy. Get into the nitty gritty of what tests they conduct on which materials. Are the tests random? If so, once you're 'clean' for a period of time, when is the next time you can be tested?

Ask the guy who the **** is in the picture on his desk.

Oh wait-you want this job, don't you? Never mind then.

Best of luck tomorrow - be sure to follow CB's sound advice on interview technique above. I particularly like:

"Ask the guy who the **** is in the picture on his desk". Be sure to look disdainful when you ask that question .

The trees are just starting to bud. Should be a grand day. Thinking it may hit 70 today for the second time this year.

Yeah, our lawn guys mowed again this morning. Every Monday since about the end of February.

Mow, mow, mow your yard;
Genlty cross the grass;
Merrily, waterly, merrily, waterly:
Bites you in the a$$.

Never mowed much in Cali. Alabama is a fecund wilderness where things "grow"! Frikkin Woof! Found a Scott's rep and discovered I have centipede and azecia in the front yard. Means I'm gonna be watering, mowing and fertilizing for as long as I'm living here. Frikkin Woof! Yard looks good, though. Bonus-S and a poopload of water ... thank God the neighbors drink Scotch.

My favorite interview question to pose when I used to pose such things was "What are you?"

Amazing gamut of answers, some folks completely unable to come up with anything. I figured any answer that took longer than three seconds was BS, so at four I started having fun.

Best answer was from a 28-YO guy who said "I'm an Eagle Scout." Really? That's your #1 answer? How do your wife and son feel about that, Bob?

Bah. Ask for an armored deck and see what kind of look you get.
