Got a heads-up from witpqs on this last night. Thanks witpqs, by the way. xakep is a russian hack site/program/community. They troll and whack for fun and pretty much at random.

Is a "community" of idiots still a community? Or do they go my a more appropriate term, like herd, or gagglefu*k?

gagglefu*k <------ I am going to start using that phrase

Another title of the day. Web of Spies. Written by Manning Lee Stokes, published in January 1966. Mr Judas is back this time to kidnap a lesbian scientist on Spain's Costa Brava. He leads the group Die Spinne (The Spiders), they are a notorious group of criminals that smuggled ex-Nazis out of Germany. Our hero uses a beautiful double agent to outwit Mr Judas.

"Much more so than, for example, "View to a Kill", which was a short story about a crossbow assassination that Bond performed, shooting some schmuck on the diving board of his pool."

Which became a scene in For Your Eyes Only, IIRC... though it wasn't Bond using the crossbow in that scene.

BTW: Termie... I worked as a librarian the first few years after graduating university. I recall that I got a lot of opportunities with the women in those years (including two co-workers). It's not such a disreputable profession after all. Edit: or maybe it is... after all, I did bed two ladies who worked there with me! !

And I have never even seen chocolate covered bacon. The thought turns my stomach.... now peanut butter and bacon, that's another story!

One of my favorite Gamecock players and currently playing for the Broncos committed suicide today. I'm just stunned and devastated. He was the hardest worker, the nicest kid and someone you would otherwise point out as a complete role model.

I have no words. Weeping for his family and confused by such a drastic choice with all his potential.

Folks, make sure you love your friends and family. Tell them they are appreciated. I'm convicted of my own apathy and callousness to those around me right now. Who can know what people are suffering? But we can be a light and a friend to them.

God bless his family and graciously forgive him for this. I just don't know what to say right now.

2 for the price of one: Spy Castle, written by Manning Lee Stokes, published in January 1966. When the first bomb goes off, heads of state around the world receive Pendaragon's incredible ultimatum. Britain's M5 gets on the hot-line to America's AXE group, and the greatest counter-espionage strike of all time is launched. Our hero matches wits with the notorious and lovely Lady Brett Hardesty.

Amen. The Broncos organization seems shaken by this as well. Just looking at some of their faces on the evening news told me more than the reporter.

... a long tiring monday ...

... but then I got a turn in my inbox which enlivened me quite a bit. Now I got something to ponder at work tomorrow

(CV Zuikaku, Torpedo hits 2, on fire, heavy damage)

Good night friends

Awww....the "little Dutch boat that could." Very cute.

Per, for what it's worth-if that had been Steve's aircraft carrier, you would have only needed one torpedo. A catastrophic FUEL STORAGE EXPLOSION is kind of a given with him.

The second torpedo would have cut across the TF and hit another carrier just as they were transporting some U235, U238, heavy water and high explosives to a secret base. The ensuing thermonuclear blast would have sunk the remaining carriers and escorts, torched the top admirals along for the ride and put paid to the entire campaign.

So, who are you playing?

My opponent is a researcher here at the school. Funny thing, he sank the Yorktown in the same area just one game week ago. Two torp hits & 'Ammo storage explosion'. Nice with a little payback !

On a side note, I see that the friendly 'thread war' banter has started .

Edited: Spelling & more.

Yes I saw that thread. Good footage but also a little sobering.

Leo, good pictures that you posted above. Had no idea it was so bad. Take care.
