I to have had health issues, and have had put on hold, or withdraw from my PBEM games in the past. But I have always informed my opponents what was happening. To get a WitP-AE grand-campaign up and running takes a lot of time and effort. Then for your opponent to disappear without word, and then not answer your contacts is a huge let-down.

My advice would be that if you a truly genuine about starting a new PBEM campaign, and would like to start again with a clean slate. First apologise to the people you let down, then post for a new opponent stating what has happened in the past. Than If you are lucky enough to attract a new opponent, treat them with the respect they deserve.

I am sorry that you feel this way, I have been plagued with several bouts of illness that created my having to withdrawal several times. I can certainly stop playing the game until my health improves in fairness to everyone and to earn a better reputation. My apologies to all who feel this way.

Of course you should not stop playing games. You should treat your partners/opponents with a little bit of respect and reply to their emails and let them know if you will no longer be able to play, even if you can't do it until you get back on the forums months later.

I am.  Up late watching some recorded shows with my wife after a day of family golf and dinner out.  Heading to bed now, as it's 0035.  Have a great day!

Just to let you guys know, stay clear of SubCaptain, who is posting in the opponents wanted subforum.  He's the same guy (email address) that I started my first WitP PBEM game with, and he disappeared after about 2 months, refusing to answer any of my emails.  I later found out that he had also done the same thing to RogueUSMC who used to be a regular around here.

He's not trouble like Japan, so I don't want to post a "challenge" in his threads or anything, but he's a loser that I would not wish any of my Brothers to get burned by.

I played against him once.

Me too. He's had three or four aliases on the forum, so not to be trusted.

The description of the next Mission: Impossible flick on IMDB. Notice how rogue the team is...

The IMF is shut down when it's implicated in the bombing of the Kremlin, causing Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his rogue new team to go rogue to clear their organization's name.

Great news, Jeff! Congratulations. Naturally, you'll have to listen to "Meet the new boss! Same as the old boss!" on the way home from work.

As I'm sure Steve will attest, it's not the poultry, but rather the French-Canadian blood. Ooh la-la!

ETA: Alright. For those of you out there (read: every last one of you ) that would misconstrue this comment on THE THREAD, I should clarify. Steve cannot attest to my personal 'powers' of romance, nor I his. We do, however, share a common regional heritage in our familial bloodlines.

Good thing anticipatory explanations/mitigations/justifications/cyas aren't the norm in the thread or else there would be thousands of less posts.

Congratulations Andre!

What Andre is trying to say is that we are better at the ladies than we are at war. After all, ever watch 2 frogs fight?
