In other news, today's combat lesson from Rise of Flight: don't do head-on passes. Your planes are so fragile that two or three bullets will be enough to finish you. Just happened to me a few minutes ago. Damn Fokker Scourge!

You've been buying planes now? Or is it just one plane for humans and the computer can get any type?

The demo includes one plane for each side for the player and all others flyable by the computer. I have upgraded my demo to the baseline game and bought a few planes besides that.

wow. Game looks awesome. Someday i hope to get back into flight sims....hell computer games in general. I havn't played one in months with the exception of one Steel Panthers scenario. Flight simms will have to wait for a new computer unless i want to ressurect old EAW.

While working off my endorphin high post-workout, I watched Harry Brown on Netflix. It's the Brit answer to the old Deathwish with Charles Bronson. Except Michael Caine (!) played the role of spurned vigilante. Very good performance on his part-I can't think of any role that he hasn't played well. He's really one of the best Brit actors alive today.

Somebody thought you may have been in a death spiral of unwarranted negativity and said so. Sounds like it was a sensible recommendation-glad to see you're admitting to be the paragon of virtue that we all had come to expect, sir.

Any THREAD dudes with advanced knowledge of BBQ joints in St. Louis, MO? Heading there for a conference and would like to sample local wares.

I decided to do some "scourging" of my own, so I joined Jasta 6. Here's my kite...

We're flying from Sivry aerodrome, a few miles down the road from the Belgian-French border.

Hootz Pazootties !! Spent the last couple days in Huntsville at Marshall, with a local lawfirm interviewing for patent work for two major new projects. We got the contract !!! It's got lots and lots of optical physics and I get to dust off some of my p-chem, too. This is going to be like coming home, and I might even learn some rocket science while I'm at it.

They are really gonna make me work for this one. The guys at MSFC are some of the smartest people I've ever met. Some of them were aware of the things light time was working on. Maybe that had something to do with the choice. But in any case, looks like I can be buying sails for the '40 for a few more years. Woof, woof, woof !!!

Chickenboy,

What the hell is going on across the river? Yesterday in Beltrami County, deputies arrest two after a alcohol related sword fight. One was caught trying to flee on his bike. Sounds like a classic case of nerd on nerd crime.

You guys are great. Keep up the good work.

A Minnesota apologist I ain't. And I agree with your N-O-N crime assessment. They oughta sentence them to 5 years with dial up access as punishment.

However, having said all that, it's not like we've got a mortal lock on all the screwball issues out there. Witness the following: Dreams of a statewide wrestling championship dashed because of slipshod QC protocols for picking up roadkill.

And then there was that knucklehead in Fargo on this last Fourth of July who decapitated himself with a commercial fireworks mortar shell. And in a trailer park if I might add. I think the trailer park part was a given anyway. Up for a Darwin award.

Assembling: No worries
Paying five tentacles and a frontal lobe for bleeding edge MOBO and CPU: NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

I think my all time favorite "Darwin" moment will be the guy who tried to get a lava lamp to work by heating it up on his stove. Naturally the lamp exploded, a shard of glass piercing the idiot's orbital cavity and killing him dead. Given the lack of brains this act took, it should NOT have been a fatal wound.

Don't you regenerate those tentacles anyways? And you're only using 10% of your frontal lobe capacity anyways, dude. Like Cheech and Chong say-you may as well blow the rest of it!
