Afternoon tithe from Old London Town. Took the river to Greenwich today for the Old Royal Naval College, Maritime Museum and Observatory. So did about a million other people; still lots of fun, though.

IWM and British Museum tomorrow.

Glad to hear you're having a fun time, buddy!

How long are you in the UK T? The RAF and Battle of Britain museums at Hendon are better than the IWM imo. If I could get any time off I'd take you to Duxford - it's the best of the lot.

Warspite1

Yes, I agree - I went to Duxford on the Orient Express a few years ago. One of the best corporate jollies I've been on . Got to fly in a rickety old bi-plane - can't remember her name but she used to fly between Essex and Paris in the thirties!!! Scary - it carried about ten people and we had to be weighed before we boarded in order to ensure they spread the load evenly .

Woof !! Been so Hades hot here had to do indoor sports. Went over to the gun club to do some shooting. Met some locals and one thing lead to another and there was the usual Cali Girl can't shoot. So the money goes down; 25 yards, 9mm, one 8 round magazine, 5 seconds. There was some serious good shooters there. Ended up about mid pack. Nothing much to speak of, except I did shoot better than 'bout half of them and kept my self respect. So now the big joke is "Outa the way redneck, Cali Girl coming through". Kinda nice to be recognized, but gonna have to watch that climb high and to the right.

btw, shoot a Taurus 9mm, PT-92. Heavy, but I like it.

Belated tithe...

Finally, some perfect weather on this end. Been very thunderstormy lately. Today through Friday are supposed to be highs of 85F with low dewpoints and clear skies. Ahhh...very nice. Not 'on the beach drinking rum punch nice', but it's just this side of Hades too. I'll take it.

Very comfortable here as of late. Was in the mid to upper 90's with +70 degree dew points. The usual thunderstorms and some flooding.
Summer will be ending soon enough. Time to enjoy. I wish I could golf but the shoulder isn't quite ready yet. Maybe, just maybe late this month or September. So bike riding is the game. And of course plenty of WitP-AE.

If you ever come over again, let me know in advance. I will pick you up from wherever you are staying and take you to Duxford. I'll meet all associated costs. If I have enough time to get organised we might even manage to rope Dixie and some of the other thread brothers in!

If you're trying to entice me, that's not the most effective way you could have picked.

Anyhoo, I visited the BM and IWM today amid torrential rains in London and 11 million Japanese and Italian tourists. Enjoyable, if somewhat tiring.

Tomorrow, it's homeward bound...

Having a fantastic time, thanks! Just a few clouds, a single rain shower, and some gusty winds from the fringes of TS Emily so far. Should be about all we get. Can't complain.

Any idea who Dinamo Zagreb will get in the 4th QF Leo? Could be Arsenal yes?

Looks like my labrador will be eating better than me for awhile. The Dow fell over 512 points at closing today. Egad! How much I have lost in the last 2 weeks. Thanks be to God I'm getting more hours as of late. Off to Pembina in the morning for a project.

Nope... we can play only certain rank of clubs well below Arenal class... this is due to last changes Platini made for Champion's league qualifications...

I think we can get:

Wislu
Sturm
Malmö
Genk
Plzen
