the ford plant at Willow run put out hundreds of B-24's a month in 1944. According to an article in the Detroit News, by 1944 the Willow Run Plant was producing 1 B-24 per hour.

The same article said that by June of 1943 there were 42,000 people employed at the Willow Run plant

The US produced over 12,000 B-17's and 18-000 B-24s.
