Hi all,

It was acceptable for its time, and I was willing to overlook its technical problems because I liked the game. Like AE...

I did like the "European Air War" a lot in those years... lots and lots of airplanes in the air at the same time...

Hi all,

Have you tried updated (via user patches after official development stopped years ago) the "Battle of Britain II: Wings of Victory"?

It still have the best AI of all WWII sims and can sport hundreds of aircraft in the air...

Nope. The problem is that it's only BoB, whilst EAW had all the mid- to late-war aircraft, like late-mark Spitfires, Typhoons, Thunderbolts and Mustangs.

It's of course your privilege to buy whatever games you wish with whatever distribution system you like.

Personally, I've had nothing but trouble with Steam. However, I don't complain about it. I simply refuse to buy anything that requires it.

So at what point does whining about whiners become whining? Sorry T, I couldn't resist!

Hi all,

What I don't like is that Mozilla started some weird numbering system for their apps...

Instead of incremental releases like we had up to Mozilla FireFox v3.6.22 and ThunderBird v3.1.5 now we reached
v7.x in just few weeks!!?!?!

Current Mozilla FireFox is v6.0.2 and Mozilla ThunderBird is v7.0.0... utterly weird...

Still have it....STILL want to play it one of these days........need to get a monitor to replace the one i lost....my P4 can handle it's specs which were modest even when it was new so that it could support a gargantum amount of planes at the same time. It really conveyed the awe of flying into the middle of a bomber stream.

I'm a slave to the cable company. Converter box signal gave out. Tech on phone tried. Yet no siganl. Says he'll send a service man over. Fantastic. .....within 48 hours.
I get to work this morning and within an hour cable calls and the service man will be over to my house in fifteen minutes.
And so it goes.

Question for you geeks out there....

Dixie graciously gave me another copy of the wonderful sig he made for me earlier. What do I have to do to make it visible?

Hey Mike, try this:

1. Go to imageshack.us and create an account there.
2. Upload the picture from Dixie to your account there.
3. Copy the link to the image stored on their server and paste it into your profile signature area. It should look something like what is below, minus the "Mike" and the "Solli":

[imageMike]http://img392.imageshack.us/img392/2540/witpbsrlj1.jpg[/imageSolli]

Be sure to use the brackets and slash around the "image" at the beginning and the end like they are listed above. That is a Matrix forum software specific thing.

Good luck!
