Schanilec, I'm a casual fan of the Fighting Sioux, if only because it's the "other" tattoo that Mike Commodore has on his calf..... one for the National Championship he won with them, and one for the Stanley Cup he won with the Hurricanes.

Commodore was great here. He always reminded me of Ogie Oglethorpe from the movie 'Slapshot'. He was a great enforcer. Many times he was sent to the penalty box. For two minutes, by yourself. You feel shame. Then you get free.

Morning tithe...

Very wet night, with heavy southerly rain and even a skiff of snow on the tops. We are having a wet spring so far, but the country-side is looking wonderfully green.

Going to the District Hospital in Alexandra today, to get my latest tests, and see my Oncologist. Fingers are crossed, but I am feeling well, and the weekly blood tests are good.

I thought when I got out of hospital, and started on the Chemo injections than I would bounce strait back. But with the side-effects, and fiddling with the meds to get the dosage right.
It is along slow process, but luckily I have two AE-PBEM campaigns to keep my mind working. For this I must thank my two excellent opponents, Roger Neilson II, and vettim89 for their infinite patients when my turns are slow.

I feel for you. My friend's sister got diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia.....non-fatal IF you take these Chemo? like drugs. Problem is they make her so sick alot of the times it becomes almost a Quality of Life issue. They issued her medical weed pills to dull the symptoms and induce some hunger. Rough stuff.

My dad had a cancer scare this month.......dark spot on prostrate test. Turned out negative. Fingers stay crossed.

Thread Brothers, it's with a heavy heart that I tell you of the passing of our 11 year old dog Kelsey. We took him to the vet on Tuesday morning, then was admitted to the ER Tuesday afternoon and was at the Rainbow Bridge by 6AM the next morning. We don't think he suffered much - I'm not even sure that he recognized us when we left the ER for the night. He was happy as a puppy on Sunday in Santa Cruz, chasing pigeons and running on the beach. So we have that memory to cherish. What a rough week. RIP Kelsey - we'll miss you.

He's in good company. I'm sure him and Boomer are already romping in the water.
God bless.
Damn, I already have a tear. Must be something in my eye. Memories I guess.

Very sorry to hear about your loss Kwik E. Dogs bring so much joy to our lives it's a shame it comes at the expense of sadness as well. Again, very sorry.

Man, really sorry to hear of this as well.....

I read in a post before that you were getting treatment at a hospital but didn't know you were fighting a tough foe. I wish you the best possible outcome and recovery.
