Going to the doctor today to see how many more babies the wifey has cookin' again. Wish us luck! Matthew is probably going to be a big brother.

"How many more"? You expecting twins or triplets, Jeff? In any case, good luck!

Just one. The reason I said babies and not baby is the medicine my wife is one. Doubles the chances of having more than one....While I wouldn't have minded twins or triplets...its kind of nice knowing its just one. Thanks though.

Well that's great news any which way you cut it!

Due date?

Highway speed limits are funny things here. Some areas are ye olde 55 MPH. There are many highways-mostly rural that are 60 or 65. I think California maxes out around 65. Here, there are 70MPH highways through the suburbs. I think Montana has 75 MPH nominal highway speed limits, but these are loosely enforced with the reminder to 'use your judgement'.

It has only been recently that Montana even had a speed limit.

Disgruntled Tithe... I just got rejected for a job that had 500 applicants. It's a good thing there's no economic crisis, or the job market might be bad.

Sorry about that T. There's a lot of angst among new graduates over here for similar reasons as most jobs get overwhelmed with applications.

I feel very fortunate to have gotten an interview already. I started working on the situation a month ago, but it is still very much a gift from the good Lord. We may have to move eventually if it works out, but I'm hoping that it will be a 'migration' rather than a move.

I think as a kid going to Canada, you could drive as fast as you wanted to in Montana. Course' dad was boring enough to drive the "speed limit".

Haha. Our first one my wife was still teaching, so she wanted to have it (him eventually) outside of the school year. We planned that one pretty well. This one just happened, even though we wanted it to. We didn't want them to be more than a couple of years apart. Of my four siblings and I, we're all two years apart. Same with her three siblings and her. My wife plans like a mad man. Or, ehh mad gal?

Not to get too personal...but we have a very tough time getting pregnant. So when we decide to have a baby... we go visit the doc in between our practicing... Doc said we have a 6% chance on our own with out all of the meds they put my wife on for fertility.

Job Hunting Sux. I still remember being in school for a field that was becoming the "latest fad"......and then i heard that one hospital was getting 80 resumes a day for just ONE open position for which I was preparing for. Time to choose a new path. The school's solution was to turn around and say....wait! now you need a four year degree for this. THIS will distinquish you from the rest of the pack. That is...until a huge crop of now 4 year graduate techs explode onto the market and start overloading HR managers with their updated resumes. sigh.

Four year degrees only distinguish you from dead people nowadays.

Morning tithe... Heavy rain, and bad thunder storm last night, a real house rattler.

A lightning strike knocked the power out for our area, so no internet. We lit candles, got-out the photo-electric lights, and had to read our books. Was quite a cosy night with the gas-fire, but the dog and cat were really spooked.

When you're in a safe place, severe weather outside can be a very enjoyable time.  Good use of the opportunity, Des!

Was so cosy, we would of been doing something else if I was 100%.

But I've got a new book (D-DAY, Antony Beevor), and that was just as good.

A guy was complaining at the farm store across the street this morning... "You know, I wouldn't have hit that deer if they would actually obey those crossing signs they put out for them.."

I guess you really can't fix stupid.

Speaking of which, what's the gestation period for you red planetarians? Or do the pods have 'gestation periods'?

I hope power wasn't out too long, Des! Doing your AE turns by gasoline generator? That would have been a bummer, mate.
