Another one?

March 10, 1956, Over the Mediterranean Sea

A B-47 bomber carrying two nuclear weapon cores in their carrying cases disappeared over the Mediterranean Sea. The aircraft, on a nonstop flight from MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, to an undisclosed overseas airbase, was lost with its crew. After takeoff the B-47 was scheduled for two in-flight-refuelings before reaching its final destination. The first refueling was successfully completed, but the aircraft never made contact with the second refueling tanker over the Mediterranean Sea. Despite an extensive search, no trace of the aircraft, the nuclear weapon cores, or crew, were ever found.

I'd say the red mouse is right-this was the most famous / infamous 'incident' that I recall hearing about.

I guess your depression depression is more legit than mine.

So, fishing charters out of Port Canaveral? You know, Bruce is just down the road from you.

Contrary to expectations I will not be spendin this weekend working nights in the cold.  Instead I'm off to bloody Cyprus for two weeks, apart from the days where I'm jet-setting to sandy mountain land

Cyprus is a dump. Got knifed there.

I've had nothing but good average experiences there. Some good times and tomfoolery, but mostly it's another foreign place where I went to spend a night. Not as good as Crete, Calgary or Washington DC. Probably better than Bangor (MA, not NW). Steer clear of the dodgy taxis (some of them) and strip clubs (all of them) and the chances of getting into trouble are reduced.

Recife on the other hand, was scary at night. Plus Cyprus would seem pretty good when my other destination was a mountain based desert airfield with angry men putting on occasional fireworks displays.

I gotta stick up for Steve here.....What's wrong with Bangor, ME?..........................

Don't stick up for me! I'm from the other end of the state (the one with people in it!). I've been marooned in Bangor (I spent a week there one night! ).
