One thing that is aggravating is the shortsighted plane replacement routine. I have a hard time believing that either side rushed new planes from their "pool" to the front so fast that they would always replace a squadron of planes as soon as the "pool" hit the number of planes in the squadron. It always leaves the new planes with an insufficient number of "pool" replacements after replacing planes in a squadron. This has been a problem in every Grigsby gmae that had this feature. I think that setting the replacement limit to 125% for the IJN and 150% for the USN would be more accurate and less shortsighted and would leave sufficient new planes in the pool for replacment of combat and operational losses even after a squadron has replaced planes.

I once wrote a post about this (and other annoying facts concerning automatic a/c upgrades), but I'm not sure if anything thereof has found its way onto the list.
Of course it might help if some more users would support this request!

Good idea. I added it to our list.

Joel,
Thanks! That should help improve the aircraft replacement routine without having to go the route of allowing human players to control it.
