Hi all:
I'm looking for a free program similar to MS paint but with more options, what I really would like is the possibility to draw arrows both straight or curve, and lines which can be twisted to represent front lines so to make better AARs
I know it can be done with photoshop but I just can't make out how.
I already have paintnet and gimp, the first one does what I want but in a limited way.
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks

Paint.net you can use the line tool and grab the waypoints to get your fronts where you want them. Experiment a little. You can curve a line this way too.

Check the Paint.net forums for free plug ins. There may be an arrow maker. Every time I do a search for something I seem to find something useful.

That's easy to accomplish with Photoshop. Just a bit hard to explain for me, since I use the German version and don't know how menu subitems are labeled in English.

1. Use marquee tool to draw a rectangle or circle, preferably on a new layer.
2. Go to edit --> fill outline(?) (in german it's called Kontur) and assign width and color

/edit: can also work with the Pen tool for lines and stuff. However, for this I rather import images to a vector program (i.e. Illustrator or CorelDraw) and export them to .jpg after reworking.

If you're just doing AARs, you might want to try MILSketch. It also creates nato symbols for you.

2 Great AAR tools; Battle Chroniquer & Screenpresso

I think MILSketch is inefficient.
