Hey all! Version 15 with the Ugnari is now available for download on the first page. Sorry I didn't include a bonus Kiadian spaceport like I said I would, because the work I did on the Ugnari tonight took about 3 hours but I thought it would only take about one Next time

Have fun, and thanks for everyone who comments or downloads the mod

A preview of the new ships:

Thanks guys for the ongoing support

Here is a shot of the Ketarov who are most likely coming next, you can see the difference in detail between the new ships and the old ones.

I can almost hear the Codeforce bombing Woodman with job-offers: "Do more OMG cool ships Woodman! PLZTHNKS!"
And no offence meant towards Codeforce. I have full respect for them.

Seriously, I wish you could do this full time. We'd have 1000's of awesome ships then. Default is just blah.

Thanks for the kind comments guys, but also remember the original art and artist deserve 50% (okay, more like 90% ) credit for this mod, the ships are made entirely using DW art. I suppose that means if they really wanted, they could put them into the game, there is no copyright problems or anything like that because no external art was used. Also, I'll use this oppurtunity to point out I'm currently unemployed

JHGT I made a very quick simple conversion for the Kiadian large spaceport, I can only attatch a single image to a post so here it is. Ketarov update coming soon and I need to post a Ketarov pic there. This spaceport will be in the Ket update

Ah, totally forgot that part. I wouldn't be surprised if CodeForce would add these in to the game somewhere in the future. We'll see.
I can feel yer pain, being unemployed that is. I'm going to job interview pretty much after I've wroten this.

And the Kiadian large SP looks nice. One thing I noticed in my last Kiadian game I just finished yesterday. Ships and bases scale in strange ways in DW: Long ships look incredibly large at the times, when ships like Kiadian cruiser and capital or Haakonish vessels seem a little small compared to others. This issue is probably well known among the modders and I ain't starting to rant about it. Not my style. Different ship sizes actualy give some more variety, which is good.
Hope this modding issue is fixed in the future though.

EDIT: Oh, and the Ketarov look great. I'll probably pick them or Ugnari for my next game that I'm starting today.

Cheers all!

Things are getting very difficult as we near the end of the series. Pretty much all of the usuable art has been used, sometimes twice over already. Coming up with unique looking ships that stand out from the other races is tricky.

Here is an Ackdarian Cruiser, looks like Ackdarian will be next. Also, they are one of my favourite races

I have been holding off downloading because you seem to be adding more and more; But I think the time to download is now.

With Diverse Worlds set as the active theme, I get this error when starting a new game from the main menu:

The following exception occurred in the DataGridView:

System.ArgumentException: DataGridViewComboBoxCell value is not valid.

To replace this default dialog please handle the DataError event.

Are you using RotS expansion or the original Distant Worlds?
