Thats the fix Driller, Ugnari use shipset 20 in my mod because I was working on their shipset.  But its not finished so I replaced it with originals.  I could have just changed the number back in the race file but then that would more likely break savegames, so I just filled it with originals until the Ugnari set is ready.

These look great WoodMan!

Have you considered something along the lines of a 'catamaran' style with two hulls, side-by-side, and a small adjoining area between them for quarters and such?

Like an H shape??

Actually yes!  I thought about it many times, for smaller ships like Escorts and Frigates (and fighters and bombers, but they are too small to notice much).  But I couldn't decide if it ever fitted anyone.  I was thinking like that red ship that escorts the Millenium Falcon into the cloud city in Star Wars

Any ideas out of the remaining races who you think it would suit? Maybe Kiadian? Dunno

I'll leave that up to the experts as I've not been well acquainted with all of them yet.

I've always thought starships shaped that way looked great, though, and always add an unusual concept to the mix.

Edit: Like the Lyrans from SFB/C or especially that Amarr destroyer in Eve Online.

I like where this is going. I immediately thought of the Ketarov when you mentioned a 'catamaran' style hull. I don't know why, but I can see it.

Something like the Lyrans from SFB/C would possibly work for the Sluken with some tweaking of course.

Lyran Destroyer -

Excellent Igard!!!  I've had an idea in my head for Ketarov for ages, but not sure how to make it, this shape would complement it or replace it well!  Basically I wanted them to be long and rectangularish, blocky not really curvy, but with one side longer than the other, its hard to explain.  But I think H style ships would go nicely with, or instead of that, I might have a play around with Ket ships

A Colony Hive but from who?

These guys are coming next, its probably going to be controversial because they are the main bad guys in the game (excluding the Shakturi). I imagine most people would expect either big chunky looking tough nasty ships, or pointy sleek looking evil ships, however I've gone for something unconventional Been doing some practice with this style for a while, now to make them for real

This must be the Sluken, I presume.

I vote Boskara, but all those 'eyes' make it look Dhayut/Spiderish (I know, already done).

Boskara or Sluken? I'm gonna say Boskara, eventhough the ship looks like it could belong to Sluken also. Looks very nasty, in good way.

It was indeed meant to be Boskara, though I notice Tacit says Dhayut. What do you think guys, I turned the eyes Purple as its the Boskara flag colour. The Red has more impact, but the Purple goes with their colour/running lights and looks a bit different as nobody else has purple. I'm totally 50/50 on this one!

I prefer the red a lot but I can see why it looks more Dhayut.

Hmmm... hard to say...
I'm about 60/40 in favor of purple. Matches Boskaras colors better. But the red looks so cool and menacing. Decisions, decisions...

Argh! This is like choosing red or yellow Ferrari in Forza 3! Both look so awesome in their own way.
....
I'm gonna vote for purple. It looks more "Buggish" when red looks more "spiderish" ala Dhayuut.

I will include both in the mod   One by default and one in an extras folder so people can choose themselves

Edit: Yellow is a girls sportscar colour btw, red for blokes

The Amarr destroyer catamaran style I also referred to... it's beefier than Lyran style. You get the idea. ;)

Nice decision. Both colors look great.

Offtopic: But most of the dark colors eat up the shapes of beatiful cars! Oh well... apples and oranges...

I always wondered why I would see a yellow Ferrari on the street. I would ask a friend "Why would you have it in yellow?", they would reply "I think it looks great" and I would simply say "Yeah but it still looks better in red".

Yellow Farraris look great, Red will always look better!

Hmmm... Are yellow Ferraris cheaper than red ones? I'd tend to think so.

NefariousKoel, Nice. That looks much the same as the Lyran destroyer I posted but way better graphics. Yeah, it does look like Ketarov. I was actually meaning that it could be Sluken, but with a different colour scheme and some 'insecty' bits added. But, true enough, it does look Ketarov.

One could never go back to vanilla races after these. The vanilla ships were good but never seemed the match the actual races that used them.

Cheers Ash!

Hey all, here is another Boskara thingy, a Primary Basehive (Large Spaceport)

Purple is now the default colour when you install the mod, red versions of all ships and bases will also be available in an extra folder to replace the Purples if you like

ETA: Tomorrow

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

I was just gonna request an HR Giger-ish shipset, looks like you're one step ahead :D
im so happy right now. ffffuu :)

How are you planning on doing the Kaidan's? (the ones i proposed to have the sleek "grey-ish" designs)
Looking at their portraits and such, they do look like they'd fit with very sleek almost "wax-molded" ships, like their suit or head looks lol.
But some kind of flesh-colored organic style (though symmetrical, they seem a bit perfectionist) would also fit imo. Though i dont know how hard that would be to do :)

If you've ever seen the movie Existenz, you know what i mean :D

Ewww... I was drinking coffee when I saw that! Do not want!
My own picture of Kiadian ships is something similar to originals. Very high tech but still sturdy. I especially like the original destroyer and heavy cruiser.
Interesting to see what Woodman comes up with 'em.
