All,

I have set movement delay to zero, but rail movement is painfully slow (the units move hex by hex rather than "jumping" to their final hex). Is there any way to speed it up?

Hit the space bar a couple of times during rail movement.

In the preferences screen theres a checkbox for show unit move

Uncheck that and they will then warp to the destination

I'd like an option to warp units only when using rail movement (which indeed is painfully slow even on fastest setting), and to use normal movement when moving units using their organic transport.
