Its great you guys added grass and that it provides concealment. I have notice quite a few cattails in several screenshots.

My question is this: Are cattails indicative that the ground is marshy/swampy/etc. and if so will your vehicle have a high chance of getting bogged.

Just curious because I was a tanker for 10 years and every tanker i know avoids cattails at all costs unless you just absolutely have to risk it because chances are you will get stuck.

The placement of cattails is done by the person making the map, and it's likely near wet areas. There are a number of terrain types that the map designer might decide to use, depending on the map designer, shallow water, mud, light mud, marsh terrain types are available and yes, all of these have varying degrees of an increased chance to bog. You can use the LOS tool to scan the area to determine what the terrain is. (and there is a terrain map hotkey as well.).

Thanks
rick

I am going to use them on all my maps for marsh and streams. They offer a much needed clue to where the marsh is instead of switching on the terrain map to check the terrain.
