I am currently playing a random campaign of PZK and even though the briefing states that my engineers were able to place some minefields they aren't visible. If I build a random battle and include them, I can see them. Are they there and just not visible due to sighting restrictions?

TIA

No. If they are your mines you should see them at all ranges. If they are enemy you don't see them until they cause a casualty or damage a vehicle.

Thanks. Would you have any idea why they don't show up? Is it just an incorrect briefing?

No. I don't know the connection between the briefing on a random map and actual scenario. I don't play random scenarios.

If you attach the scenario file that you are playing, I can take a look. It should be in your scenario folder and it will start with an R.

Thanks

Rick,
Here is the file, I think. I'm computer illiterate.

Thank you

Mobius,
Thank you for your reply. I hope you don't take my posts as any type of criticism of the game or your scenarios, that is not the way they are meant. I really enjoy the scenarios that you design, the screenshots you are posting of Ostfront and PZK is currently my favorite pc game. I'm just trying to learn how to play to best of my limited capabilities.

thanks again

the file came through fine. I took a look and yes the briefing certainly indicates you have minefields defending your position, but I did not find any in the actual scenario. I'm not sure why they didn't show up. I also checked to make sure there were places for them on the map and there are.

perhaps some of the others on the team will chime in, if they know an explanation.

thanks
rick

When you create a random battle, you click the icon for allow minefields. I'm not sure how the campaign generator works in this respect. I sounds as if the briefing states that minefields were picked by the program but didn't get placed on the map. Is this the first battle of the campaign? Maybe they will come in later battles.

Rick, thank you for looking at it.
junk, no it's actually the 25th battle. There were previous battles (at least one but I think more) in the random campaign where the briefing stated I should have mines but did not. I just assumed at the time that it was a line of sight issue but apparently not.
