I played the original CoG a lot, but haven't touched it in a while. Came to the forums and realized there is a new version. How does it compare to the old one, especially the detailed battle mechanics and the protectorate units?

My two main problems with the game were that protectorates gave too many free units, and that new units had higher morale than veteran units. It was easier to build high morale units than to improve low morale units through combat. My other minor qualm was that cavalry could zigzag through your lines, make a u-turn, and charge. Has any of these been changed in the new version?

Aside from the graphic upgrades to the map and the naval battles, what are the changes or new things in CoG EE?

Carburo,
I see that no one responded, mainly because players usually ignore the support forum. You might want to repost this in the main area.
